Regret if there is one vacuum i regret getting rid of, it's my Royal 4000. It was HORRENDOUSLY LOUD, but alas, a great cleaner and such a nice vintage look to it. It cleaned BEAUTIFULLY.. I hope to find another some day.

It's all in the use and maintenance of the machine.... If you clean out the shake out bags after EVERY USE as Kirby reccommends in their manuals and hoover did on the actual bags, there shouldn't be a dust problem with cloth bags. On Kirby's , it's so simple.. as the bag deflates when powering...

another tidbit it seems as if the motor that was replaced in my DS80, was replaced with one of the bigger motors that were used in the Classic-Heritage models. The sound is pretty much identical and it seems to have a little more torque to it when you power it up, you can kind of feel it slight...

also... any of the machines that are rebuilt from the DS80 through the Tradition.. they ALL get the generic handle grip, ALL bag hangers are off to the side now, like the Classic III and Tradition, I hate that they put one on my DS80 when I had it rebuilt.. in fact, it didn't even want to fit...

break up i just had a REALLY bad break up too.. the worst i think , after two years.. i had another break up that forced me to get rid of my vacuums too... i REFUSED to this time.. so, now they are divided between being crammed in my closet and the attic.
