    Another Restored Hoover 700

Would love to hear about how you adapted a paper bag to it. Would like to do something like that to my 825.

    Another Restored Hoover 700

Is the dominant twin obvious, or is a contest such as a "suckoff" in order?

    wow

Contacted the seller about the bee vac, he's not interested in shipping it, regardless of offer made on it.

Did some legwork on a part number

Ok guys and dolls, found this on Mouser. It's an adjustable strain relief that snaps into early Hoover switch covers, like my 825.Very, very little dremel work is needed on the two flats, in fact, not enough to stop an original cord from being reinstalled. The nice thing is, it won't unthread...

My best guess is either a 575 or a 425.

NOS Kirby Attachments Dilemma : To Use or Not To Use?

Kind of depends. If it's something you'll use quite a bit, it would be silly not to use it, and have to buy a second one to actually use. We're also talking vacuum cleaners... Sure, there's a market, but not usually even close to "sticker price". It's more of a passion of what you like. Take the...

Plating on Upright Premier or Kenmore Vacs?

Could try polishing it with tinfoil, ect. Other than that, powdercoat or paint. Had a chrome intake manifold years ago that I sanded the finish off, and polished the aluminum underneath. Wouldn't recommend that tactic to my worst enemy though.

    913 commercial bag on 825

Thanks to Hooverboy81's considerable help, I've found out that a 913 commercial bag will indeed work, and have ordered one. Will take pictures of it blown up when it comes in.

    impact marks

Actually, my own post got me wondering. I've seen "specials" that have a metal ring retrofitted around the fan housing for protection. Do any of you guys have one, or a pic of one?

    913 commercial bag on 825

What my 825 came with is I "think" an original model 28 bag, or it sure looks like one to me. I don;t want to thrash something with daily use that one of you collectors could use.

    913 commercial bag on 825

Any of you guys know if a commercial reinforced 913 bag will fit a coffeecan 825? If so, how much bigger is it? I like the thought of a reinforced bag, and I want to buy a new one, as this machine will be used everyday, but don't want it to look stupid after much hard work.

Straight-suction Westinghouse upright vacuum cleaner Model CL-3

Pretty cool there. Reminds me of an ancient universal I restored. Quite handy for hardwood

    Regarding my Hoover 825

Does anyone have a manual for an 825 Hoover? Also, besides the standard tool kit, what else was available for this machine?
