Wood bearings?!?! Not so much. All Hoover literature states the 105 (not to mention the 102) utilized ball bearings in the brush roll. The only model that did not use ball bearings would be the early run model O...which used string bearings (which were later switched to sleeve, then ball...

Post model 29 handles Hi vac-o-matic! The handle length shortened when Henry Dreyfuss revamped the sixty series with the model 63. He used his models, "Joe and Josephine", to get an average height of women (the people who all domestic appliances were marketed to) to make it more comfortable...

Yes, it is a hybrid of sorts. The bag isn't too far out of line seeing as though a "conventional cloth bag" was an option Hoover offered from day one. As I'm sure you know, the Handisac was not a disposable bag, but one that could be emptied and reused many times. It is a shame that the handle...

Hoover Specials Were refurbished by the Hoover company and sold as a lower priced model to the current model lineup. There wasn't necessarily any rhyme or reason to what machine was offered as a "special". I have an 825 that was rebuilt in 1951, a 725 that was rebuilt in 1947, and a model 150...
