What brand and model vacuums do your family members use?

Haha have you been canvassing Tayyab? :-)

    Does Kirby have HEPA filtration?

Yes but Numatic have a microtex pre motor filter for allergy sufferers and they also do models with a pre motor filter and HEPA post motor filter as well as a bag. This is my point.

    Does Kirby have HEPA filtration?

Yes but I'm still not convinced. But well spotted Chris I'm glad you take notice :-)

    Does Kirby have HEPA filtration?

Does the Kirby have HEPA filtration? I know the latest cloth bags claim to be HEPA but are they? A Miele bag has 9 layers but still has a pleated HEPA filter. If the Kirby cloth bag is HEPA why does the outer bag get dirty? I would like to hear your views.

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

Yes Derek but when you use it as an air purifier it's on constantly. Stan I don't hate the Kirby. It has a lot going for it. Very well built, reliable, performance on carpet is second to none. I just don't think it works well in smaller homes. Its difficult to manoeuvre around furniture etc...

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

Unless you use it as an air purifier then bacteria and mold can certainly grow and all that moisture could cause rust to metal parts.

Haha. The perfect vac hasn't been made yet. May never happen. But there are still some very good ones available. And some very bad ones :-)

Rainbow is far from perfect as this video will show. http://https//youtu.be/qjpak0bGN3I

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

I think you might be correct Oliver. Only water filtration will work without a pre motor filter. But even the Rainbow will get dirt passing into the motor. I've seen a video of the Rainbow being stripped down and the motor was caked in dirt!

I like the Riccar Brilliance very much! But we are talking about the Dyson cinetic here Stan i've not had any issues with the Dyson DC41 MK2

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

The only way to be completely sure would be to fill the bin to Max line shove a sock up the inner tube so no dust can blow back and repeat this several times and then check to see if any dust is escaping the cyclones.

Large particles won't shouldn't pass through the shrowd that is true.

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

Yes that would be a good idea. But it looks like more than just dust blowing back when emptying the bin this time Tayyab. It looks like dust escaping the cyclones.

I'd take them out of stock permanently!

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

I'm sticking with my DC41MK2 i've had no problems whatsoever. There is no dust on the motor intake after 6 months of use. Wash the pre motor filter every few months. Takes a couple of minutes it's not a problem. But relying solely on cyclones...... I'm not convinced now!

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

It doesn't look good Josh. I would go back to a pre filter if i were Dyson.
  18. M

    Dyson Cinetic doesn't work well.

Me neither. Surely they would have tested it thoroughly before releasing it! They were supposed to have taken the cyclones to the absolute maximum! If that amount of dust is escaping the cyclones the motor is going to burn out prematurely. I think they will have to go back to a pre filter...
