    hoover 700

Electrolux 137, I love my 700. I don't use it everyday but maybe once a month on the carpets to be able to let it run for a bit. It is mostly all original except for the plug, cord and furniture guard. The guard is from an old 725 but does not have hoover stamped on the front. The cord is...

    some vacs for sale

Hi vacuser, I am not sure what the rate of exchange is from the US dollar to the British pound but I would like at least £60.00 pounds for it as it is in just about new condition as you will most likely ever find. As you can see it is all original and even has the round brush which was at the...

    crevice tool

I guess I will have to wait for one to come on ebay. I have one here but it is a bit too fat to fit in the space on the caddy. I find it hard to believe with the amount of collectors here and so many having multiple models of cleaner that there is not a crevice tool to be found. Oh well I...

    crevice tool

Hi. I have seen a recent ebay completed listing showing the tool set for this model. I saw the tool had a pip fitting but I would think a friction fit would work also.

    Hoover "Coffee Can" Help

I know this because when my model 700 came from California I plugged it in and the motor made a humming noise as the fan would not rotate. A few days later I removed the fan and found the brass sleeve was missing. I figured some dickhead that didn't know what they were doing tried to repair...

    Hoover "Coffee Can" Help

when you remove the motor unit from cleaner there is a flat screw on the end of the belt pulley. you need a flat screwdriver to remove it then if memory serves the pulley should unscrew then you just pull the fan blade off. you will need to keep fan blade from spinning when removing the screw...

    KIRBY BAG TOP CAP

Hi KirbyClassicIII, Your Kirby looks great!!! I am glad others personalize their vacs. If all kirbys and hoovers looked the same then the vac collecting world would be bland and boring. The cord on yours is a keeper for sure. Looks to be original??

    KIRBY BAG TOP CAP

Everyone has their own way and style they want their vacs to look. If vacuser wants a red bag cap for his Kirby then he should have it without any (I know everything about kirbys) comments from the peanut gallery. Best of luck vacuser. I know your Kirby will look great!!!!!! Try messaging...

What transformer should I use for USA Vacuums in the UK?

Go to Maplins. There should be one near you. Just ask for a step down transformer. Mine cost about £29.00. About the size of a brick. It has a fused plug as usual plus a 1 amp fuse next to switch for the extra safety. Anything electrical goes wrong with any cleaner you plug in it will blow...
