the best nozzle for cleaning hard floors

Looks pretty good. I like Miele's twister Parquet floor tool - but I find I have to use a higher suction power level to get the best pick up.

    Electrolux Contour - London

Is that pic showing the one you have? Looks like one that Alexhoover94 has.

James Dyson: "The EU should spur invention, not mediocrity"

The reality is that consumers are not voting because most if not all couldn't care less about a mere vacuum cleaner chalking up a power bill. In my opinion there's no point in quoting older vintage vacuums because that was in the past and lets face it, all of these brands that you mention also...

    New Vorwerk Kobold VK200

The only real similarity is that the Felix has a height adjustable handle (to 3 levels of height) swivel joint and removable PN to make it a shoulder vac if you buy optional shoulder slings or if you want to change over to the parquet hard floor cleaning brush floor head. Personally I can't...

What happened to the dual fan vacuum motors?

Well there's something called Sound proofing which a few of the German brands fit. I know that the E1 Airbelt I have has more whoosh of air than whine.

    Dyson cordless wands

Thats good of them to send out a new wand to you. Time will tell on whether it will last but you should keep Dyson informed so that they can make any necessary design changes.

    Dyson cordless wands

That's a real pity. What has Dyson said regarding the part?

Cute Japanese YouTube Demo of Dyson V6

Notice the lack of carpet every where. Yes it is a cute video though.

Still using the straight suction on the carpets? You must see this.

I'll stick to my SEBO Felix then!

    Shark Rocket Deluxe Pro

If the motor is behind you and located at your behind / base of the machine then only the noise of suction air would be with you. Back pack vacs are great for industries like open spaces. I have been lucky enough to board aircraft early enough to watch cleaners with back packs but the machines...

    Shark Rocket Deluxe Pro

I have had the thought from the moment that these hand helds appeared on the market on how damaging they will be to hearing. After all, if you are lifting the vac upwards to clean ceilings or anything above your waist, the motor is coming nearer to your ears than a conventional smaller hand held...

    NEW Vorwerk Kobold VK200

That's interesting to know. I have a half moon shaped hard floor brush which has a reversible side with fixed polishing pads on it. Can't be used on carpets though and I find it is too flexible and not all that controllable.

    NEW Vorwerk Kobold VK200

Things are up and down at the moment. Scotland has remained, the rest of the UK want to leave. At the moment general public are confused by the Mickey Mouse antics displayed by the politicians. Back onto Vorwerk talk, the adaptor arrived today from Amazon UK as did a suction combi floor head...

    wheels

Yes but even with wheels, hard floor brushes seldom suck up dirt. Loose crumbs maybe, but dust is a no-no. I spend more time picking the dust off the bristles than what goes up it! Having wheels helps going over undulations that actually SAVES the bristle strips from bending outwards. I've got...
