the s3001 celebrity of 1973 isnt easy to find. it had a special hose that had a common failure point being able to adjust the suction buttons from the hose. the reason you cant find one, is because most of them were tossed. theyre a rare find intact today with the original hose and attachments.

to actually answer your question, no. kirby doesn't allow 3rd parties to make brushrolls for their machines. only cwp makes brushrolls for them and generic ones are still usually unbranded cwp anyways. kirby's never needed beat bars for agitation, and clean plenty deeply with the brushrolls...

there is alot more with that machine you overpaid for on ebay than just the missing belt cap. the wheels are wrong, the bag isnt correct for that version of the supersweep (wrong colors) and the cord should be white.

that motor is trash. youll fry the field coil the first time you use it being that siezed and the motor field plates and motor windings so severely corroded. removing the commutator shaft on a motor that far gone is a waste of time. your friend gave you a paperweight....

no. the brushroll width, nozzle width, belt location and brushroll core diameter none of which are the same. you cannot convert it.

get in touch with jimmy martin. hell probably get them. no collector will have time to get those on such short notice. especially without knowing whats available.

just to add on here, oconnors DOES NOT re bristle anymore. talked to don personally, he's too old to do it anymore. john cadle in dover,ohio at his vacuum shop will re bristle for $50 a brushroll.

c bags are still very plentifully available. both genuine and generic on ebay, and ANY vacuum shop will carry them.

everything about those machines is interchangable mechanically. however hood wise the u4003 and 4007 have different hood designs and thier headlights lenses are NOT compatible. the u4003 and u4009 hoods are the same, but one has a headlight one doesnt. u4005 and u4007 hoods also same thing.

stuck switches are due to contacts being corroded/worn over the years with carbon buildup. spray the area where the movement occurs under that plastic footpedal with contact cleaner and cycle the switch on and off unpowered several times. that should fix the "sticky" issue.

in all honesty youd be less pressed to find an all intact original machine than parts for one. especially cosmetic parts such as a hood and bag. original hoods, bags and cords rarely come across by themselves. the u4003 isnt that rare and comes across commonly on facebook marketplace. id...
