    Eureka Excalibur, Made in Sweden?

Sorry about some images being bad. Video will show it better.

    Eureka Excalibur, Made in Sweden?

I have Swedish version of this. It's Volta F1 2110 from early 90's. Motor is 1200 watts. Bearings need some attention, but otherwise it runs great. It has a lot of suction and airflow for so old canister. I have washed all the parts and cleaned the motor. Volta Mega was next model with slight...

    Oreck Dutchtech Bag Holder

It truly is Philips. Philips made excellent vacuums back then. Powerful and quiet, with attention to details. Here is very good in depth video of the same series vacuum:

    Any Aerus News?

For some reason Australian Sauber Excellence (Lux Guardian Platinum) uses Sebo ET-1 ph. It's much quieter what I have seen in youtube compared to the US-version ph. Then again EU-version has different ph and now they have brand new design ph.

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

@vacfan1982 "These tests will not be as accurate as in a Lab but they can still give you a good idea of the performance of a vacuum cleaner." I agree with you. Amount of work what goes in to these test is VERY high. I use my living room carpet so my problem is to get it insanely clean. I don't...

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

@vacuumdevil "On a carpet that doesn't shed" 0.02 grams of carpet fibers is not going to ruin the test. Normally I get less than that and my scale doesn't show anything when I put carpet fiber "ball" on it. Test must be done on insanely clean carpet. Otherwise it doesn't work. Weighted carpet...

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

After all this talk. Measured high accuracy carpet pick up test STILL IS the best way to know how vacuums really performs. Error rate in these kind of tests (if done properly) is very small. I mean compare this to the visual carpet inspection how vacuum picked up. That doesn't tell anything how...

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

@regularrett69 I am someone who actually supports everyone who is interested in vacuums and knows about them. I always try to avoid any conflicts and I have liked a lot of Alex videos and vaclab videos. Problem is when he turned against us who do these measured tests like me (vacuum tests) and...

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

Well point of this thread has been proven. These tests are very accurate where you measure the bag or bagless bin content. Just compare it to tests where people judge vacuums by inspecting the carpet by eye after unmeasured dirt put down to the carpet. I don't show my shoes because they are...

Vacuum cleaner pick up tests on carpet

weighted sand in the carpet test This will make things clear. Key to these test is VERY thorough pre vacuuming before the test. In my test I got tiny bit of carpet pick up and even much bigger piece of carpet only weights 0.07 grams. So I did put down 10 grams of sand and vacuum picked up 5.79...

    180$ sebo airbelt

ET1 also does well in sand in the carpet test test:

    180$ sebo airbelt

I am very surprised that it doesn't work for you. ET1 is my ultimate favorite. It even grooms better than my Kirby G6 with oblique stiff brushroll. I think it's your carpet that doesn't work with it. But I guess it's not for everyone.

    EU-limited vacuums explained

@huskyvacs It's now back to the 70's with these new lower wattage vacuums. Even 80's vacuums were using more power. Usually around 1000 watts. My late 70's 900 watt Elektro Helios Electronic U318 produced a lot of power. I measured high numbers from it. But obviously it didn't have hepa...

    EU-limited vacuums explained

@madman UK still have to follow these rules. Like we all know ibaisaic (Roger) from youtube. In his videos all new vacuums are EU limited. Many has criticised watt limitations, but overall vacuums are now more efficient. Low noise level is certainty welcome rule.

    EU-limited vacuums explained

I decided to explain what those EU-limitations really mean and how they affect to the vacuums. Note that these rules don't apply to the certain vacuums like: - wet & dry, battery-operated, robot, industrial and central vacuum cleaners - hand-held vacuum cleaners - mattress cleaners - ash vacuums...

    Homemade vacuum that works

I am quite happy with it, but it has flaws. - bin is too big for it (makes it look out of balance) - bin is awkward to remove - no onboard hose If I would do it again it would be bagged and less complicated.

    Homemade vacuum that works

@vacuumdevil Unfortunately this is the real cruel truth :D

    Will bags make a comeback?

In Finland bagless vacuums have never really gained huge popularity. For example if one net store sells 20 bagged vacuums, they only sell 11 bagless vacuums. People have found cons of the bagless vacuums. Bagged canister is by far the most common vacuum type here and I am glad about that. Most...

    Homemade vacuum that works

Well this needs some explaining. So this is made from parts what I already had. Motor is from Shark upright, Bin is from Dyson DC14 and powerhead is Electrolux Paragon. Motor is located in the insulated box with baffles to reduce the noise level. Well it helps, but it's still a bit noisy. Only...
