    General Electric AVT-805 -Atomic Chrome

I would say that it's from the 1950s. As far as value goes, it's worth whatever someone will pay for it. If I had to give a guess, I would say around $150-175 if it has most or all of the attachments and is in good working order.

    What to get for hardwood?

See If you can find an attachment kit for your Kirby. You can convert it into a canister, which is great for hard floors. An old Electrolux is also a good option.

Miele S7 or U1 Parts Needed or Motor Help?

Thank you. Vacuumland is a better place when people aren't bickering! :) As far as the Miele goes, I'd just try and find another board to replace it. If it was something simple and common, like a resistor or capacitor, I'd say go for it. However, with that thyristor, If you don't get the EXACT...

    Different types of Electrolux Velocitys

I have owned two Altimas. The first one was red and it was a trash pick. I hated it so much that I threw it back into the trash. I now have a yellow one that will be going to a buddy of mine who likes Eureka. As for my YouTube channel, I just renamed it to LuxDude2003 Vacuums. I'll leave a link...

    Different types of Electrolux Velocitys

I can't speak for the Electrolux Velocity, but the Eureka Altima was fairly popular for a short time here in the USA. It became less popular when people found out how bad it was.

Miele S7 or U1 Parts Needed or Motor Help?

Both of you really need to calm down. It's not your vacuum, so why are you arguing online over a vacuum that isn't even yours? Just be nice! It takes away the fun of this forum when people are constantly bickering. You guys are grown adults arguing online over a tiny little thyristor. Think...

    Different types of Electrolux Velocitys

This one had all of the filters. It's just an awful vacuum. The two star average rating on Best Buy's website confirms this.

    Different types of Electrolux Velocitys

The Eureka Altima (Electrolux Velocity) is so "rare" because they were so poorly designed that people just threw them away after a year or two. I recently got a Eureka Altima for free from a vac shop, and it is a truly awful dust spewing contraption. The one I got blew dust out for a full minute...

    Oreck's full size cordless vacuum

I want to see this go head to head with a Simplicity Freedom Cordless. If it's cheaper than the Simplicity, I might buy one.

Yup. It is the same internally.

    Why I like Dyson

Electroluxes actually keep their airflow longer than a Dyson if you use HEPA bags.

    Yes, that is correct.

Reasonable Price For A Coffee Can Hoover?

I would have never thought to look on eBay. I just assumed that the prices would be well over $200 due to people thinking that they have an extremely rare antique Hoover, when in reality, thousands of them are still around. I'll have to check.

    Some of my collection

I had a Dirt Devil Scorpion Turbo, and it was a corded hand vacuum. It looked nothing like that one. Dirt Devil may have reused the Scorpion name on a cordless hand vac. I will attach a picture of the original Dirt Devil Scorpion for comparison.
