    New Oreck Cordless

@vacomatic While it is pretty expensive, its an interesting looking machine. And, its nice to see Oreck coming out with something new at least. They have had some great machines over the years and they sold well. Speaking of commercials or a lack thereof, I don't believe I have ever seen a...

    New Oreck Cordless

I am guessing that an electric powered nozzle would have caused the battery life to be greatly reduced.

    New Oreck Cordless

Well, I think it is an interesting product and I'm excited to at least try it out.

    New Oreck Cordless

I see now, it does say air powered floorhead. I've never used one before so not sure how they perform. I foresee no issues on the hard surfaces, but carpets may be a different story.

    New Oreck Cordless

I was wondering about that too. It does however say that the brushroll tool is air powered.

    New Oreck Cordless

Looks like the Oreck POD is now finally available for purchase! I'm waiting for my local Oreck store to get them in stock so I can run it through the paces. Great to see that it has a 100 day "Love It" guarantee and a 3-year warranty. https://www.oreck.com/pod-technology-cordless-vacuum/

    Kirby & Aerus Supplies Availability

I'm sure both Kirby and Aerus want their customers to come into their respective stores to purchase accessories like bags, filters, belts, etc. They can of course charge their hefty prices. However, I always feel when you go into one of those specialty stores, you know that for the most part...

    No cat fights....... :)

    Vacuums at my Goodwill

@niclonnic "Again, the Prolux was still there, and I didn't get it. Looks like it's a tough sell." A lot of people will probably take one look at the Prolux and think it looks old fashioned or they don't want it because they are used to seeing an upright bagless vacuum with on-board...

    Vacuums at my Goodwill

niclonnic If I recall correctly, it was the dark green model. I wasn't sure of the amps though.

EXCELLENT REVIEW OF THE DYSON V10

It's evident that Dyson put a lot of thought into this new machine, especially with the easier to access filters and the wall bumper. He does mention in the video that the vacuum sits heaver in the docking station so I wonder how that plug "post" charging port will hold up over time. Were the...

    Vacuums at my Goodwill

I saw an original Fantom Fury the other weekend at the Goodwill. It looked almost unused on the floor, but its dust bin stunk so bad that I'm surprised anyone bought or wanted it. Smelled like dirty feet! It was gone by the next weekend though so someone took the plunge. That's one of my...

No more corded vacuums to be developed by Dyson

Nice! You should drink a V8 while you use your V8!

    Bought a Bissell Crosswave

The design itself looks pretty similar to the Hoover, except for the brush roller thing. Has the upper solution reservoir and the lower catch tank with float. I do like the more convenient buttons on the Bissell. Maybe I'll consider one when the spinscrub gives up the ghost! It is nice that it...

    Vacuums at my Goodwill

If I don't need a particular vacuum I find and it is in good working order and the price is right, I often will clean them up and sell them.

Looking for a canister for around $400

I would personally go with any of the Aerus Electrolux canisters. I love the sidekick attachments for cleaning up pet hair on couches, rugs, chairs, etc. Aerus makes quality machines that have great suction and are generally long lasting, provided you take care of them.
