My legacy that is now used up in our north Ga mountain cabin is over ten years old. Never had a problem with the wands.. Interesting information Brian on the push pull. So far no prooblem with mine but is that something they will change on the current machines if the problem develops. Thanks...

I got two additional wands from tristar that are exactly the same as the platinum wands. My local guy got me and extra combo dust tool and adapter. I am sure they will catch up on the parts backlog soon.

John, reply 658, excellent post. Richard, I agree, it is the only thing on the platinum that bugs me is the power nozzle switch issue. I heard they are changing it on future productions.

There are no problems right out if the gate. After a short time lux found out they needed a thicker bag, reacted and fixed the problem. What's the big deal. As was and always will be, one of the best machines on the market.

I agree Christopher, no dirt leaving the machine is all I care about also. Especially because of my allergies..

Cliff, my second filter is spotless too even after going though a few of the original bags. The pre filter is doing the job it is suppose to do
