    Eureka Gold CRown Cannister

Ben and Greg Ben , The little white upholstery nozzle is actually a Singer nozzle for a later model. There is a brown upholstery nozzle on ebay right now in case you want to make your C-1 complete. But save that white nozzle, you never know when you'll get a later model Singer canister. Greg...

    Electrolux Epic 3500 SR Upright

attachments I have this same upright complete with attachments. I didn't pay $8.95 however :-( so good job on that! The suction is pretty good, much better than a fan-first vacuum with their attachments but not strong like the traditional elux tank. Try to find an inexpensive attachment set on...

    My greatest find!

congrats!! Hey Greg! What does the machine end of the hose look like? Is it the traditional GE button lock like for the canisters? I wonder if there was a power nozzle option, maybe used the Filter Queen PN made for the GE/Premier swivel tops? Happy GE-ing! Marty

    CLOSED DOWN VAC SHOP FINDS!

Isn't it just amazing the conditions of some of these places? There is a place in Cathedral City that Victor and I have gone through that is in almost as bad a condition as in this picture. I think the perfect part time job for any high school kid (or for a collector)would be is to keep the...

    Old Kenmore

I have one like that complete with white cord. This Kenmore looks like a Hoover 150. I found mine at a swap meet for $25.00 and I thought that was a deal for how old the machine was and how rare as you don't see these often in Southern California. I intended to change out the cord until I...

    Another New Hoover!

I have one. I bought one of these Hoovers last month. It is my current daily driver. The hose does not swivel at either the machine end or the wand end. The suction is out of control and it really keeps going as the bin fills up. I love the power nozzle. The motor is situated in the center and...

Whats your quietest and loudest vacuum?

Quietest would be my Electrolux Hospital G. The whooshing sound at the rug nozzle makes more noise than the vacuum itself. The loudest is certainly my Royal all metal upright vacuum. I bought it about 10 years ago in El Cajon (near San Diego) at Wholesale Joe The Vacuum King. (shameless plug)...

Where do you get your vacuums?

I find mine at thrift shops and also swap meets. Pete is right, you pretty much have to go everyday. I go on my days off from work. I also trade with friends. I can't remember the last vacuum I bought on ebay though. I am currently cleaning my display room and weeding out the herd. I'm not an...

    My first Whirlpool/Sears canister..

Guy I have a Kenmore almost exacty like yours. Mine is model 2197-1. I have an ad with it dated 1971. That slot in the side housed the crevice tool as Gary stated before. Kenmore crevice tools were different from other brands in that they flared out at the end like bell-bottom pants. They also...
