Getting rid of my later vacs

How much for the Bravo and the Twin Chamber?

    Shop vac is over

I know when it came time to replace my old 5 Gallon Shop Vac, I looked that Shop-Vac's line up in Late 2018/Early 2019 at both Walmart and Morton's Ace Hardware. I was unimpressed with how the cheaply the fit and finish seemed to be on the display models, but I also looked at a few of the...

    Preparing for Christmas yet?

We've been getting the house ready as my wife and I just finished moving out of our rent house and into the home that we purchased in mid October. Most of the unpacking is done, but everything is still not quite right yet. Unfortunately, we aren't going to have Thanksgiving as planned since we...

    Hoover Powerdash Pet Problems

I’m going to disassemble it tomorrow and see what I can see.

    Hoover Powerdash Pet Problems

I’m honestly leaning towards fixing it. It’s a good cleaner but I think I got a lemon. I’d rather not throw it away. I’ve put new motors in vacuums and I’ve maintained my entire collection over these years so I’m going to treat it no different than I would a vintage one.

    Hoover Powerdash Pet Problems

My wife bought me a Hoover PowerDash Pet back in July and its been a good cleaner, but here recently the motor sounds absolutely dreadful and has a bit of an electrical smell. I stupidly didn't register it when I had the receipt and don't know where its at. I fear the motor is going bad. Is it...

    Any Info on this?

EurekaFanSquid That’s the magic of advertising! They can make any product look appealing and make it look like they work the best. I’ve used a couple of machines like this and they seemed really finicky and fell over easily as they couldn’t support itself in the upright position. My former boss...

What would be a good recommendation for a Central Vacuum System?

My wife and I are about to close on our first house. We talked it over and we want to install a Central Vacuum. Our house is roughly 1700 square foot with a detached 800 square foot garage with attached wood shop. We haven’t done any looking yet, but I know many of y’all have systems and I...

    T-Series? Tempo?

From what I understand this is the replacement for the Bagged Windtunnel Max. I like the new coloration over the red.

    Filter Cleaning

I usually steer away from bagless vacuums since I feel that its easier just to swap in a bag when the old one is full. I do own a couple of bagless vacuums, but they don't see any regular use. the ones in question are my Fantom Cyclone XT and my Vax X5, both are in relatively good condition and...

    Hoover Handivacs

I have a red Handivac I and a Wards Jiffy Vac that's a rebadged Handivac. the Wards sees almost daily use around the house in the kitchen and usually following behind our toddler since she's about like a Tornado sometimes. My wife likes the Wards over her old Bissell Featherweight that we had in...

What the best/your favorite "mainstream" vaccums and brands?

I actually like Hoover's latest offerings especially the Windtunnel Max Bagged, I've been eyeing one for a bit at my ACE Hardware and I'm tempted to go get it. I've also know people that have bought some of their newer bagless uprights and they seem to like them. I do like the Kenmore Canisters...

    Hoover self-propelled WindTunnel u64xx

I have two! One SP Windtunnel Premium and One TurboPOWER 7500. I use the Premium quite regularly while the TurboPOWER needs some TLC.

Does anyone own one of these Premiers?

My grandparents had one of these, but I think theirs might have been a GE. They used it at their flea market booth since they had put carpet down in it and after they got out of doing that they brought it home in addition the the Hoover 61, Wards F&G and the Hoover Silmline they had out there...

My Eureka Whirlwind Lite with an Identity Crisis!

In all honesty this was pieced together from a Eureka Whirlwind Lite, a Maroon Whirlwind and an eBay found bag door from a Victory Boss. I'm overall pleased with how it turned out and I cant wait to get the new brush roll in to try it out since that was the one piece I didn't have between the...

    Anymore info on CWP brushrolls?

I installed a CWP Brushroll into my Hoover Elite 350 to replace the single row brush it had. That alone improved that vacuum and they are really well built. I have one on the way for my 1999 SP Windtunnel to replace its original brushroll.

    Coronavirus (COVID-19)

My little town is feeling the impact. The P66 Refinery sent all their contractors home and the Solvay plant I work at is furloughing most of everyone for a few months, unfortunately I’ll be one of the ones cut since they are going to only keep 1-2 people in each maintenance craft and I’m the...

    Show me your Windtunnels!

Here’s my two! The TurboPOWER 7500 I picked up off of Craigslist for $30 and I’ve got a Self Propelled Windtunnel that my coworker gave me. The actuator arm on the green Windtunnel was broken and missing all the tools. The TurboPOWER was complete and in great working condition. I used to pass on...

    Vax X5

This was something I bought a few years ago on eBay. I had never seen one of these before then. I’ve seen the Bosch and Dirt Devil version, but not these. About when did they sell these? Was there any difference between it and the X3 other than the color?
