    Chrome and cloth......

Rick, YOU ARE AN ARTIST!! I've been thinking about having a Hoover Constellation chromed for some time now. As soon as I see a grotty one and I have the money, that can be my next project! :)

    My new Blue Numatic Henry!

LOL It's funny you should mention that actually, my mum and dad asked when I brought it home "Is that the cold model?" It's one of my dream machines though. I'm really into Numatic machines and this particular one is one that I've drooled over since infancy! Just the more paler looking blue...

    My new Blue Numatic Henry!

Hey, Hooverettes! I picked up a blue Numatic Henry for £7 today at a car boot sale! The man wanted £10 but I got it down to £7 :) It didn't come with any attachments but he works and has scrubbed up nicely! What a nice birthday present :D The Henry is from around 1990, which is weird as both my...

    Do you remember..

I just love how they choose a vacuum cleaner without a hose. Better yet, when the man's saying "Give the shark a chance to get deep into the carpet" The woman only really shoved the Oreck over the nuts in a style that would purposely push them around! :P Charlie

Garfoth eh? I was at Garforth a few weeks ago at the Garforth Arts festival :) I went specifically to see Billy Bragg! Also, be careful when modifying your Desktop Henrys. The motors look like the type to burn out easily if overpowered. Charlie

    Moulinex Major

Seems like a bit of a poor idea making a dirty fan hardbag doesn't it? It'll just blow the bag door off and warp the plastic :S Quite nice vacs tho Moullinex. Are there any earlier machines then those? or did they start out in the 80s? C.P.

    Look at this

I can imagine their store being like that scene from Pulp Fiction where Butch and Marcellus Wallace roll into the pawn shop whilst fighting. I just hope to God that there's a samurai sword on a shelf somewhere! lol

    Dyson DA001

I just found one... As part of a job lot, it could clean up nicely I suppose, shame I don't have room for the rest of em! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TEN-DYSON-HOOVERS-DC01-UNTESTED-/110730113291?pt=UK_Vacuum_Cleaners&hash=item19c807710b#ht_500wt_715

    Dyson DA001

That's really cool! I'm dying to find an early Dyson vac. I hate to ask, but you wouldn't happen to have any pics would ya? Naturally, given the rareness of these vacs, finding photos is really hard. It would be a great help.

    Dyson DA001

That sounds pretty cool :) You don't happen to have a picture with you do ya? I'm very interested in Dyson's early machines. I found out just the other day, that before the DA001 came out, Dyson had intended to make a 3 in 1 vax type, tub vac. Having made a good prototype, they decided against...

Beautiful Hitachi upright on ebay at FANTASTIC price!

I gotta say Chris, as your friend, It's fine asking what would happen to the vac when Bill dies however, that's the same with every other collector, regardless of where they're from. To us, such a rare specimen as this Hitachi is like gold! to the rest of the world, it's just an old vacuum...

    Dyson DA001

Hey all! I was wondering if anybody could help me out. I'm looking for a good pic and maybe some info on The Dyson DA001. As far as I know, this is the first generation of the DC01 model and are quite hard to come about with all original parts. As any Dyson enthusiast in Britain will know, you...

    Vintage Japanese Vacuums :)

That's a handsome vac! I can see what you mean by resembling the cars of the era too. It looks like it could be a very practical vacuum. I would love to use one. I hope that more people see this thread and respond to it, it's an interesting topic to me and I know that I can get the best...

    Vintage Japanese Vacuums :)

Thanks for the support guys! These are all fantastic looking machines. Has anybody got any pictures of the earlier ones like Rex has posted about, the Mitsubishi type ones? I would love to see some of them, along with the others of course :) I saw a Hitachi canister like the one posted above...

A machine people are usually curious about...(picture thread)

I think they once had one of these on Friends :) I can't remember what episode exactly but I'm sure I've seen one.

    Vintage Japanese Vacuums :)

Hey guys, since posting my last thread about the nifty little Hitachi, it reminded me to post this one. I am looking for information and pictures on vintage Japanese vacs. I vaguely remember somebody a few years ago posting a picture of the first Japanese vacuum, the name escapes me...

Beautiful Hitachi upright on ebay at FANTASTIC price!

I hope this beaut goes to a good home! I would buy it myself without hesitation if I had the money but unfortunately, I'm a bit skint at the moment. Also, my mum wouldn't let me buy "Another Hoover" :P...
