it does it does have that spring, I actually purchased a new one a while ago, but that did not seem to fix it.

Possible fix I am not that good with motors, but is one or both of your carbon brushes stuck? In my experience, that can cause that kind of thing.

I have a Hoover U4313 Gairdsman from the late 70s maybe early 80s, not sure on that one. But whenever I turn It on, the brush roll seems to be rattling in its housing. Any Suggestions?

I’ve always wanted one Ever since I’ve known kirbys I have wanted that one. You se H2s and G3’s all the time but H1s are a little less seen, and I like the color scheme. 👍🏻
