Great story. Anthony, I carried out the same brush replacement operation on an 825 many years ago and it worked. Your 700 is fitted with the full rubber handle grip like my 725(1930-32) I think your 700 would probably have been made in 1928/29 as it does no have the earlier pistol grip type...
