    Eureka 1950a Retrovac

If you play your cards right, you could probably take one home from the local sock hop, diner, or dive bar... Oh wait, you're talking about the vacuum.

    Eureka Enviro Vac

Yeah... I worked through one the other week. They are horrible, worthless little plastivacs just like most everything Eureka does.

Who wants a Hoover Concept 2 Electronic?

That is a Kirby Tradition model 3cb. It is a shakeout bag model and is non self propelled, but it is among the most powerful of any kirby design and it is very heavy though. Sorry to chime into a conversation that I wasn't part of, but I thought maybe I could help.

The most unfit for purpose machine you have come across?

Thats awesome! But you are listing only the very highest end of the segment. Ofcourse Royals and Riccars are going to be a step above the rest. Have you ever used a Black and Decker dust buster, of any form? What about the miserable eureka and hoover hand helds and even Dirt Devil, most of...

The Latest Thrift Store Finds, Really Good Ones!!

That Miele has the most suction of any vacuum I have!! That includes Kirby, Filter Queen, Royal, Eureka, etc. It's also the quietest vac I have ever used. When I am holding it on my lap I can have a conversation over it. It is truly amazing.

The most unfit for purpose machine you have come across?

I mean virtually all hand vacs. Though, cordless ones are even worse.

    hoover 375

Too much, at least to me... You said vintage stuff was harder to find in SA though, so I don't know the market...

The most unfit for purpose machine you have come across?

Another one would be... Virtually all hand vacs!! Cmon... Aren't they horrible usually?

The Latest Thrift Store Finds, Really Good Ones!!

The 8900 came with tools, but not a rack in the back. They came in a mesh bag. There is a hose a crevice tool and an upholstery brush but they are all grey and they don't match the color of the hose. I think it must have been an add on accessory kit.

Another Great Find, and My New Every Day Vac

It's a nice vacuum and cleans pretty well despite it's turbo power brush roll, it has all kinds of suction. But I have several Kirbys around as well as my awesome little Hoover Elite Runabout 12 amp and my Windtunnel Dual V and the SingMore not to mention all of the refurb vacs I'm working on...

The Latest Thrift Store Finds, Really Good Ones!!

This is the latest batch of thrift store finds and though I usually won't spend more than about $5 on a vac at a thrift store, I stretched a little for these. The Riccar on the left was 8.99 and the Miele was 9.99. I am very impressed with both, the Riccar is in fantastic condition other than...

Another Great Find, and My New Every Day Vac

Ugh... I just found out that this is, instead of an innovative, unique looking vacuum, it's just another vac design that has been farmed out to a bazillion different brands. I just found out that the same vac was made as a Dirt Devil called the "i". Again, Ugh... I guess this will just become...

My Luxes after a day at the "spa".....

She likely doesn't sell any Kirbys new. Kirby is only sold door to door through authorized dealers/scumbags (not all, but most of them anyway). Those are simply well cared for, high quality, well polished, used Kirbys.

    Is this a hoover.....PLEASE

gsheen, If you look at the ad, it says at the top "Now with 100 Pounds(I don't have a funny L key) Off" I think it's definitely not a $350 machine, but in comparison to the other $200 range machines from Dirt Devil, Eureka, Bissell, and Shark, this might compete for sales, but it's still a rip off.

    Bissel Trilogy?

It's called a whole lot of stupid. It's called a stupid thing where you put a can of pet cleaner that once you use the first can you will never replace the cleaner and it will just be that thing that for years into the future we have to tell people why there is a cupholder on a vacuum... At...

    Eureka Questions

OK check it out. If you look at the Hesco schematic a little closer, you see that though they don't offer the entire axle/gearbox assembly (car guys would call it a differential), they do offer the axle and wheel assembly for about $42. The part number is e-53463 and it's on pg 113 of the...

    Eureka Questions

Emtor, I live in Dayton. We may have to have a little minimeet or something since you're near. Let me check with my guy and see if he has any laying around.

    Cutting Back

It's phenomenal. I just found out that it could use a 313 powerhead! If only I could find one of those, and the other accessories it would be awesome. Would the power head off of a Jaguar work as well.

    Cutting Back

I just got that little canvac at goodwill for $3!! Boy does it have good suction for being a small canister. Now I just need to find some DD F bags for it and it is my new bench vac. Say, I'll trade you for one of those broomvacs you have there...
