Had a GREAT day at my friends antique shop!

That Rexair is awesome. I think my favorite of all, though, is strangely the fan. That thing is very very cool. I love the 6 stubby little blades.

    Help with Hoover I.D.

It's a Convertible! Boy, I'm so glad I logged on tonight so I could save this dilemma. I'm not totally sure that anyone else would've known that was a convertible. Oh, and it's a Hoover, too!

    Royal RY6100

James, Everything we have over here is made in Europe as a Vax... I was gonna say Dirt Devil Vision Somethingorother. Hoover now does that, too. Hoover Tempo Commercial... They're even still selling Hoover Elites as a commercial model for 300 bucks...

What vacuum would you wish for Christmas?

Miele S7 series... I have a Fantom Thunder just sitting in my vacuum forest right now... Maybe Sanitation Clause will bring it to someone for Christmas...

Convertible 1076 and classic omega spa photos, and the "attachment corner"

Those look beautiful. I particularly always had a thing for how the Tradition's blue contrasted against the brushed aluminum. I think it is probably the prettiest Kirby ever made.

    Calling all Hoover experts

Hershel, This is one of the easiest vacuums out there to totally break down and put back together. You can replace the motor housing without replacing the motor and you can simply replace the entire back strap piece with the cord hooks on it. I just rebuilt a nice little runabout with the big...

    What's in the vac Shops

I guess I have about 4 or 5 Kirbys laying around that I should part out instead of trying to sell whole. GSheen, How do you break up the Kirby into sell-able parts? Obviously Power Head, Handle, Bag, Cord, Accessory Kit, Shampooer, etc. What I'm wondering is if you sell the entire motor...

    Black Friday vacuums

Black Friday refers to the business terms "In the Black" or "If it's black, write it" meaning that any transaction that loses money is considered "In the Red" and any transaction that is profitable is "In the Black" Black Friday is typically the day out of the year in which most stores become...

    Vorwerk VK121: ReStore find

I was wondering what that thing was in one of your other pictures. That seems like an awful lot of money for a sticvac... How well does it clean in comparison to other vacuums in the price range?

    What's in the vac Shops

Well, we've talked about the new vacuum market, the used market, the repair market, and now the parts market. I tell my friends that I handle vacuum cleaners and they laugh at me. Look at all the great ways to make good money doing it!!!

    What's in the vac Shops

@sarasvacshack - It's funny that you say it's rare to find a 75th Majestic that isn't falling apart. I just sold one 75th Majestic on eBay in great shape and I have another one for sale right now on eBay, also is great shape. If you want to see it, use advanced search and type in seller...

    dyson

Those little Hoover NanoLites are actually quite powerful little vacuums. I was surprised with how well it cleaned in comparison to some of the small eurekas and bissells. I almost kept it for my wife to use and then I thought: "Stupid, you never let your wife vacuum, you're always giddy to...

    dyson

I would buy that De Stijl Dyson in a heartbead! But how much is it to post it to the states?

    Worth Saving?

from a parts standpoint, keep the tools and maybe the hose... dump the rest. ooh and cut the cord off too
  16. L

    dyson

I've heard about it being very very heavy, it is very hard to push, the build is actually lower than it was before (which amazes me), and that their trick new three zone dust compartment has a tendency to kick up dust really bad and cross contaminate when dumping which plugs up the filter fast...

    kirby

The G5 is a phenomenal vacuum. Kirbys are remnants of a dying breed of ultra high quality, ultra long lasting, extremely powerful vacuum cleaners. I don't care much for a lot of the accessories in that they simply don't do the job their intended to do as well as they should for the price. I...

    dyson

I'm already hearing complaints about the DC41 here in the US... Dysons are way more than they're all cracked up to be. The technology is cool, but the dust bins are way too small, the price is way too high, they are way over-engineered, and the build quality is just not there.

    hover model o

Last I heard, they were very rare. I would pick it up at anywhere south of 150 or so.

    Now at Walmart

Vac-whisperer, I would contest that Wal-Mart is not carrying better vacuums now, but that Oreck has lowered it's standards to get into Wal-Mart. What is happening is Wal-Mart is destroying a few quality brands just like it destroys the environment, the workforce, the unemployment rating, local...
