    Hoover Windtunnel dirt cup problems

Just goes to show how brittle and fragile they are - just look at all that black tape holding it together. ANd it managed to pass a PAC test lol

    Hoover Windtunnel dirt cup problems

No Citroen - those DC07 parts are mostly all broken, they have been there since the days I used to refurb Dysons to sell on, which I dont do any more, as there's no money in it.

Thats just how some threads go sometimes - they do wander onto other subjects. Trash cans and vacuum bins are related though - after all, what do you dump your vacuum dust into?

Read this Ad - you have to lol!

This may only be a Vax canister - but read the wording from the seller - its worth it for the laugh http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vax-vacuum-cleaner-its-a-bit-crap-/251545153200?pt=UK_Vacuum_Cleaners&hash=item3a91426eb0

    Vax Zen Pet

The original series Air Reach was a massive success, because it was lightweight, had a long hose facility and was very nimble and compact to store. It also had dual motors and was fairly quiet in use. If it hadnt been for Vax's lousy quality control these cleaners would have been pretty near...

    Bagged Swivel Uprights?

It also depends on how much money he wants to spend. I would imagine that the Oreck is a good deal cheaper than a SEBO Felix in the US. German vacs do have a price premium over there. Oreck, now being a TTI company, will undoubtly sacrifice quality when they get moved to Chinese production, and...

    Vax Zen Pet

I've got one of these too, used once and now boxed up again. Its worth preserving as the model that Dyson made famous by suing Vax over it. Mine is grey and white,  rather than grey and blue. As bagless goes, its not a bad machine, but then, it was originally supposed to sell for £250. It...

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

Vax see themselves as a direct competitor to Dyson - they have copied enough of his designs. Their aim is to poach potential Dyson customers by producing very similar looking machines, but at a fraction of the price of a Dyson. The Mach Air and Air3 was a direct competitor to the DC24/25, and...

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

The recline pedal is a famous problem area on the Purepower, it always has been, and very often, becuase its so stiff against heavy spring pressure, people dont press it hard enough, and create a clicking sound as they force the cleaner to recline. Over time this wears away the plastic engaging...

    Hoover Windtunnel dirt cup problems

Here are our trash cans - I have 2 large ones, and 2 small ones. The blue ones are for re-cyclables, and the small ones are for paper and magazines. The large grey ones are for the non-recyclables. The third pic is the result of only having collections for each trash can once a fortnight

    Hoover Windtunnel dirt cup problems

Bin Police.. Whilst I support the idea of re-cycling our trash, I have to think about every item I throw out, in the house, I have a trash can for non-recyclables like plastic food wrapping, paper towels, vacuum bags etc, and it has a polythene trash can liner. I also have trash bags hanging on...

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

I think sebo_fan means the Freedom, rather than the Free Motion, which was a canister model.

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

If you do a google pictures search on "bagged upright" there are plenty that come up - but look how many of them are only available in the USA. Most Americans have taste, and still like their bagged uprights. Dyson has not "Assimilated" them into his collective yet!

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

I would assum the old Panny bagged vacs will be on the way out now, as they are over 1600W. There is a replacement for them, The MC-UG522 (below) but its not been popular.   The problem with bagged uprights is that only the UK and the US find them popular (possibly South Africa, Australia...

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

I cant see them doing that - the Purepower is a very old machine now, and well overdue a replacement, to renew people's interests. I think over the next few months we will see the old 1600W+ machines getting sold off, to make way for a new generation of greener cleaners. Here's another one I...

    The Pure Power of Hoover?

I have the other one in the Argos book, the Red and white one - its a 2100W - another one destined for the EU scrap heap after September this year, branded a power guzzler. I do like using it, and despite being made in China, its not too badly made. I will agree about the brushroll noise...

    Hoover Windtunnel dirt cup problems

Trash Cans and Trash Bags Most people in the UK do use liners in INDOOR trash cans, because it makes it easier to transfer the trash to the outdoor trash can. In the UK we have very strict and rigid re-cycling of trash rules, and many homes have more than 1 outdoor trash can. We have 1 for...

Its the Riccar name on it that you are paying for. This type was made in Korea I believe.

    Britain's best selling vacuum cleaner

The problem with that is that Hoover Juniors have been out of production for over 25 years, and the Turbopower Junior for over 15 years, so they are not exactly available in Argos and Currys any more, which the Air Ram is. Lots of old folk who cant cope with heavy vacuums buy the Air Ram for the...
