    A new brand?

I am going to guess that the Handy Andy Vacuum is made by someone else, like Tacony with a Handy Andy lable glued on. Like the Stark's Royals are made by Royal with the Stark's name on the bag. Does anyone know who is the maker of Handy Andy's vacuums? Justin

Loan machine for pre carpet cleaning?

I would use the Concept One, sprinkel some kind of deoderizer like Oreck's Crystal Aroma, sparingly, then vacuum very, very well. Don't bother with the lady's Oreck as it will not deep-clean, even with a new bag and belt. Your Hoovers will out clean the Oreck by miles. If possible I'd use some...

    Need metal Eureka handle

Hi, I hope that someone out there in vacuum land can help. I recently got a Eureka 1425E from Drake in Idaho. It works well and looks great. It did not have a bag so I put the left over blue bag from my Sanitaire SC684A (the Sanitaire got a new ST Type bag system for Christmas). The white hood...

    kirby heritage bags?

Human, You DON'T need to replace the whole outer bag assembly, just replace the bag adaptor. They are on ebay for around $10 to $14. That's way cheeper then replacing the whole bag unit. Justin

fixing an Oreck, could use some help...

Bobby, I know what you mean about being 'the vacuum guy'. Over the summer I talked a friend into replacing his 'bagless plastivac' with a used Kirby. We hit several pawn shops before finding a Kirby G7 Diamond Edition that needed major repairs... but it was cheep. I ordered parts from ebay and...

fixing an Oreck, could use some help...

Also, You should replace belts on Oreck about every six months in order to keep it working properly. Most vacuum owners NEVER change belts, but really should.

fixing an Oreck, could use some help...

Bobby, You need to put the bumper in place BEFORE you put the base plate back on. It can't be done after. Justin Spent three years doing repair work in Oreck stores.

    My New Aerus Vacuums

Thanks Mike. Maybe someone here will do a synthetic bag for the after market. I wonder why nobody has already? Justin

    My New Aerus Vacuums

Dan, any idea if or when Aerus will offer the cloth-like synthetic bags for better filtration? I converted to those Perfect HEPA bags for three of my four vintage Electroluxes and I love them. I only use the synthetic bags in my fleet of Kirbys and have now converted my blue line Sanitaire and...

    kenmore

Yes, it is definatley the 89.95 model. I disagree with Blackheart, it could be saved by someone who wanted to send the time and money on it. If I had said Time and Money, especially the money, I'd do it. I would love to see it once it's been restored. Kirbykid, what are your plans for the 'rusty...

How to service 1963 Kirby Sanitronic Bag

If you have the Open Top bag you can take it off the metal Emtor and put it on a Heritage II Mini Emtor. That way you can use the HEPA synthetic bags. If you have the Closed Top bag with the plastic covered Bag Top Cover you can get a Heritage II Mini Emtor and put a used bag like a Legend II...

Sanitaire ST Tube and Overmold For Conversion of F&G

To Rob and Rob, Thanks very much for your help. I have ordered the Tube and Overmold kit AND placed a bid on a blue ST outer bag just in case the Tube and Overmold kit does not work as well as hoped. I'll let you know how it all works out. Justin

Sanitaire ST Tube and Overmold For Conversion of F&G

Have any of you on the forum converted a Sanitaire F&G bag set up to use the ST bags by installing the Fill Tube and Overmold unit? If so, how do you install it (step by step process would help) and does it work well? I am trying to decide between buying the Tube and Overmold verses getting a...

    Super Vac

Here is a picture of my Super Vac 180. It's a neat machine. I don't have the original white vinyl bag or white cord. I have a Heritage Emtor with a Tradition bag that uses HEPA bags from EnviroCare Technologies. They work very well. Justin

    What Is Your Favorite Vacuum

I took my Grandpa's Kirby D50 and retrimmed it with bojack brown trim, an open-top genuine Kirby bag mounted on a Heritage II mini emtor and added a Classic handle unit. It works wonderfully. I have used it as a daily driver and as a weekends-only driver. It has never given me any trouble. It's...

Kirby Heritage 2 hepa Filter bags

Josef, you will be glad that you upgraded to the G Type bag adaptor, the HEPA bags will fit much better. That is what I have done to my 'fleet' of older Kirbys, from the 560 to the Legend II. I have been using the EnviroCare Technologies HEPA bags for Generation Series machines and I love them...
