Thank you for telling me this but did you test the nozzle on a Shop vac or any other wet/dry canister like a Ridgid or a Craftman?

It's such a shame that they stop making upright models from the 90's which may not be as great as the Kirby's but were also made in USA (or in Canada if there were some) and still of better quality than the current plasticrap models at Walmart.

What should be done is that the patents on the designs of old Eureka models should get expired. This would allow third-party companies to replicate the designs of such models and the replacement parts. A person should have the right to get a discontinued product for himself/herself if a company...

Tolivac, thank you for the information although it appears that you're uncertain if a 1 1/4 tool could be used with a Kirby. Thank you too, Sptyks, for the info. I can't be certain if a Miele C3 canister would remain operational 50 years from now but I'm reconsidering my opinion.

The Avalir 2 does look beautiful. But i'd like to know if: -the Avalir 2's made in USA; -the 1 1/4 in. accessories of competing brands can get connected to the model's hose; -the model is better-made than a Miele C3 canister with the power-head modeled SEB 236 or a Simplicity Power Team...

I'm impressed with the performance of the cleaner in the video that Huskyvacs posted. By the way, should someone design a bare floor cleaning nozzle with a similar shape to the one in the video? If so, then would such attachment be better than most floor brushes on the market?
