    A Question for Miss Hamilton

Large Debris.. I'm wondering if this truncated "L" was used in a hair salon, barber shop or pet grooming place. I've seen pet grooming attachments that have a can or tank that collected the hair before it got into the bag, thus extending the life of the bag. I'm guesing that's what this is. The...

    Exclusively Eureka

Great Machines! Marty, Those are very nice machines you have pictured. I have this thing for canisters and Eureka canisters are what I have the most of. I do have a few Eureka uprights and I'm starting to grab them as I see them now. Before I would just pass on them and look for Hoover...

Lady Bugs.. This I believe is what was once called the Princess model. I call them Lady Bug Vacuums. They came in a variety of colors and were also branded by other companies. On the left is a Western Auto and the right is a basic Eureka. I've seen these labeled Kenmore also. Joe

    Exclusively Eureka

OK here goes........... Well, you asked for it so here is a series of pictures of my Eurekas. This just scratches the surface of what I actually have as many are in storage unrestored. In fact alot of these machines I'm posting pictures of are just cleaned up and not actually restored. So, I'll...

    Singer Question

That's the one here too That is what mine looks like except I have no plug for a power nozzle. There is a knockout in the plastic where the power nozzle cord plugs in on the machine. Of course, being a trash find, its not in the best of shape. Good enough though and maybe it'll be better once...

    Singer Question

Two Tone Grey Marty, The Singer is two tone grey and I don't have the power nozzle. First chance I get this week, I'll snap a digital of it to post. Just got back from North Canton and need to catch up on things here. This Singer is a cool machine for a newer vacuum. Joe

    Worst I've Seen -

That might explain why I get belt problems on some cleaners. Sometimes, even with a new belt, the belt slips. I've always blamed it on the belt. Unless you have a side by side comparison, like the picture above, you might not catch the problem. Makes sense when you think about it. The pulley is...

    Singer Question

I'm slowly answering my own questions... The bags are SLL-1 and I'm able to locate them on the web. Not all that cheap of bags mind you. I did notice that Eureka style "V" is very close. The cardboard collar is a tad wider. I'm going to try and cut about an 1/8th inch total off the Eureka bag...

Serial Numbers........ Wouldn't it be great if the serial number on my new connie is consecutive with yours? Anyways, Yes, I'm looking forward to getting out there Sunday. I've got the Eureka hose for Jimmy and I'm also bringing a model 28 to clean up and restore. Something to tinker with in...

    Singer Question

I pulled a newer Singer canister out of the trash yesterday. I was wondering if bags are available or what can I substitute. The machine says "System 90" and its made by Ryobi, in South Carolina. Too many other scratches thru the data plate to get more info. It looks like a Panasonic canister...

    I Killed a Convertible

Accidentally, I swear! I have a U4189 that is a daily driver downstairs. I usually vacuum every other day because of the dog. I was using the machine today and it was noisy, a little more than normal, but I was suspecting brushroll bearings or a belt. Then it happened, the motor got slower and...
