    Questions about Tacony products

I am getting ready to purchase a new vacuum. I have been interested in Tacony machines for some time. I am ONLY interested in a power nozzle equipped canister and there will be NO EXCEPTIONS. I have the following questions that I would appreciate some help with, preferably by someone who knows...

    Shark Powered Lift-Away

@vacuumdevil You appear to dislike almost everything that isn't a Miele. You nitpick and criticize other brands but fail to do the same for your favorite brand. You are really arrogant in your know-it-all biased opinions and it is kind of annoying. Your opinions are just that. Your highly...

    I Robot Vacuum

I believe that they can help with daily cleaning upkeep, but I just can't justify the high price tag for it for no better cleaning than it provides. I have no animals in my home and no shoes are worn indoors. My home doesn't require daily cleaning. I prefer once or twice weekly cleaning with a...

All Tacony machines pass stringent CRI tests

There is one big caveat to this data I forgot to mention. They test new vacuums straight out of the box. The filtration is tested when the machines are only months old. All vacuums filter pretty well when new. It's when years start piling up that the seals and joints may be compromised and the...

    Aerus Lux Guardian Platinum

Let me slightly rephrase lux14. I DO like them. I like the appearance of them and the historic value of them. I still don't think they are the best for actual use. I've used Electrolux vacuums with those woven hoses and found them stiff and unwieldy. They are also known to not be very durable...

All Tacony machines pass stringent CRI tests

Looking at the most recently updated Carpet & Rug Institute lists, Tacony's products passed these strict tests with flying colors. Keep in mind that these tests are the most robust and stringent in the vacuum testing business. When they pass, they pass, and when they don't, they don't. They run...

    Aerus Lux Guardian Platinum

So far to my knowledge, Aerus has not introduced this. It's fine, but I personally like the black/stainless steel design better. I hate white vacuums. I also hate those woven hoses. Aerus needs to let Lux International design some new tools for the U.S. market that are similar to those by Lux...

    Good demo of Riccar Prima

@tseg It's important to me because even though the wand system can be locked to stand by itself, it is still at risk to fall over if bumped accidentally. This can cause damage to the home, furniture, or machine. I think a parking spot is important for that reason. It's just a preference of mine.

    Good demo of Riccar Prima

That video posted does make it seem louder than the Miele. I'm not terribly surprised since Miele's are among the most quiet on the market. It's not quieter by a huge margin though. The Tacony motor does seem more high pitched. However, the Tacony is still miles quieter than most other brands...

    Good demo of Riccar Prima

@vacuumdevil This is not the Tandem Air machine that you reviewed a while ago on Youtube. This is the regular power nozzle version. The vacuum does not seem loud at all. Their is no trickery involved. I could hear his voice clearly so the sound of the vacuum did carry. If you can offer proof...

    Good demo of Riccar Prima

@mark LOL... I know what you mean. Almost no manufacturer places the bare floor tool on the machine anymore. It's hard to find that feature anymore.

    Good demo of Riccar Prima

@luxlife Thanks for that info. I never thought of that. I suppose it isn't that big of a deal, it doesn't affect the speed of use at all.

    New Rainbowmate

Wow that looks like a very nice, high quality turbo tool. I've never seen one with a headlight before. Did Rexair design this?

One thing I don't understand about Tacony is why their power nozzles need a pigtail cable at the power nozzle when it is direct connect?

    Good demo of Riccar Prima

@blackheart They seem like they are to me. I'm not sold on the tandem air nozzle though. It's so bulky that it would feel like an upright to me. I have had uprights for years and the whole purpose of switching to canister is to get under furniture.

    Good demo of Riccar Prima

One thing I noted was the noise level-seems very quiet. Quieter than I thought in previous videos. I struggled to hear the power nozzle. Others have seemed critical of it, but I don't know why.

    difference between Electrolux models

All of those are old designs from the early to mid-1980's. The Ambassador is today known as the Classic. It's the same machine as the shown 2100 and 2000 also. Just different cosmetics. The 6500 is today known as the Legacy. The Guardian 9000 is the descendant of the Renaissance which came out...

    Electrolux Ambassador

Wow a brand new machine in the box. Those are the kind of machines I hope I can find.

    Simplicity Wonder canster vacuum review

thanks@rvarley That was a fair comparison. I didn't think there would be an issue with the tool clips but I suppose that has been dispelled. As the hose wiggles around, it should be a given that they will be worked loose. I don't find Tacony canisters loud but I found this one louder than...

What fascinates us about vacuum cleaners.

You are incorrect about other collecting appliances. People do collect just about anything... Kitchen appliances too... Particularly electric can openers since they are fading out now. Vacuum cleaners are the ultimate gadget. They are on wheels and they roll. They have a motor inside. They have...
