I really hope that Dyson will decide to sell the DC26 here in the US. I'd love to invest in one.

    Vacuums You Don't Use

For me it is the Hoover 61 that rarely gets ran for more than a minute or two. Reason being that it is very brittle. The upper handle has a stressed spot were the metal is literally cracked. Also there are no brush strips on the brush roll, only beater bars until I can find a set or re-brissle...

    How low can you go?

Welcome to the forum! I used to have a few of the older Whispertone canister models (ones with the green beater bar on the roller). They cleaned great and were realativly quiet. My negative encounters with the Kenmores was the dang swivil caster in the front always busted through the housing...

The biggest thing I noticed was the belt lifter and also the lower handle. Is one of those it?

What did my Tax Returns buy me...

Well, its here! Arrived a few hours ago. What a powerful vacuum! The brush roll pertrudes about a quarter of an inch past the rug plate and reminds me of an elite or windtunnel type roller. Very aggresive like the DC17 but with longer brissles so it wont cause any harm to the carpeting. I was...

    A Rainbow D-4 Question??

In some cases you can slightly bend the prongs a bit to create a better hold. As long as the socket isn't too wallered out, it should help.

    New Vacuum from the UK...

That is an impressive little machine. I was givin the oppurtunity to witness the first startup of it. I wasn't sure what to expect since I have never before used one but wow! It has more suction than a ShopVac! The waterlift is insane and surprisingly it still maintains great airflow as well...

What did my Tax Returns buy me...

Hey Jack! Thanks for the info, I'm liking what I see. I also noticed that the UK version has a similar brush roll to the DC07/14. I just informed my mother that were now a Dyson family (wasn't sure how she would react to my compulsive purchase). With the DC27 on its way, the DC07 will now...

What did my Tax Returns buy me...

A brand new Dyson DC27 Total Clean. Should be here in a week or so. I've been wanting this model since I heard about it. I haven't seen one in person yet so it will be a whole new ball game for me. Anyone else on here have this model? I also noticed that the UK versions use a clutch system as...

    Trash Picked Vac!

Even though yes, there are pictures of that cleaner on the internet, its still cool to see ones progress on their own machine. Whether its a $50 Dirt Devil or a $1000 Miele, its still a vacuum and thats what this place is all about is it not? ;)

You are not going to BELIEVE this friends! A vacuum with TWO motors!

Judging by the state of the art filteration they have there, the insane 200 MPH Hurricane suction will become nothing more than a fart within minutes or maybe even seconds!

    Another Question From Our Readers

Hmm, well as far as a new machine, that would be tough. Any budget bagless vacuum I have come across in the past has not met these requested expectations. However, if the choice of a used machine is an option, a pre-owned Dyson sounds quite suitable. E-bay has many older models such as the...

Kirby Omega Classic 1-CB Brush roller needed --what's the best version?

The new genuine Kirby Brush rolls are still wood but with ball bearings rather than sleeve. For your model there is either 2 or 4 row ones available. The 4 row is pry the best bet as far as performance. I usually get my Kirby parts from a e-bay store called "vacuum needs". Good prices and...

Extremely rare Kirby on eBay -- Somebody snap up this bargain quick!!!!!!!!!!!

I seen this auction the other day while browsing. Looks like a turd. The Classic series is a great cleaner but that ones just plain sad. I pitty the person who bids 500 beans on it. For that kind of money you could have a new Dyson or something.

    playtime?

Normally I use the Dyson at my place (office style carpets throughout). At my moms its the Eureka Heavy Duty (Yellow hooded Sanitaire).

    Regina "Electrik Broom" Model: B2516

Now that I've had a chance to clean with mine, I noticed they were aimed towards shorter people. Unless its just the design of my model. I'm 6'5" and using this thing starts to hurt my back after a while. With the angle of the nozzle I have to keep the handle lower than with other machines. Even...
