I have one very similar to that but yellow. They have the same 7AMP Amtek motor and VGII brush roll as a Sanitaire. Really these are a Sanitaire minus the removable fan housing. Great dependable cleaners. There real work horses and a piece of cake to repair and maintain. Great find!

I've noticed some difference between the two fan setups but not enough to really fuss about. The metal fans have a distinct sound though which is quite nice.

Alex, the brush roll is soft but it is quite plush. Its very similar in texture to some of the ones used in Royal uprights and the original DD Hand Vac. Karl, mine did have a cracked fan housing, luckily the one on my parts Oreck was still good. I didn't realize that this model was that new...
