The WORST vacuum cleaners, Ever made. In History.

On the comment of Fantoms from 2001, I have a Thunder from right before they went bankrupt. It's the same as any Thunder.

Strange things at Sears vacuum department

Rumor from an associate I know is most electronics will shift to online for floor space to free up room for furniture. I know some of the stores already have furniture.

Another reason to love my Rainbow

They've been around since I worked there but I think it's less popular than the rainjet , it's like a pad type mop but the Rainbow sucks the air back through it. They work well on tile floors and such, we used to train with them cleaning the floor in the hallway of the office.

???? Last really well built vacuum made???

Plastic shouldn't be a non consideration. I've got many early Fantom Thunders and still find 20+ year old ones at thrifts with nothing wrong with them. When I worked at Rainbow I used to call people to demo the new one and I can't tell you how many daily driver D4s were out there as far back as...

    The Thrift Stores today

I've been buying up a lot of waterless cookware from Lustre Craft, Healthcraft, Lifetime, VitaCraft etc. Lately. Stores usually charge $3-5 a pan and apparently are unaware just how expensive that stuff is these days. Vacuums have been kind of sparrse in quality or condition for the price. My...

    RIP Bosch

Bill, I got them at the Ridge Rd Goodwill (Jura) and Savers at the McKinley Mall (Bosch). Usually I filter the water for them through, believe it or not, a Fantom Calypso water purifier. They also both have cartridge filters but only William Sonoma and Premier Gourmet sell them locally. As...

Strange things at Sears vacuum department

This is irrelevant to their financial situation from what I've observed. They could be redoing the department like they did ours, it's moved twice in two years and vacuums are now on gondola style shelves as opposed to along the wall. They expanded mattresses in ours and moved luggage to where...

    Rainbow hepa filter question

I don't see any reason it would hurt anything, it's mostly there for non wettables so they can get the asthma and allergy certification. It shouldn't have any real effect otherwise if you remove it but be aware non wettables would just blow back out.

    RIP Bosch

One more thing If you ever decide to do drip coffee, which I do from time to time, the old Norelco Dial A Brew models from the 70s make about the best cup of anything I've tried. I have probably 6 extra ones in my basement just in case one breaks. The largest problem is you can't find carafes...

    RIP Bosch

Interesting The Bosch was airblocked when I bought it, it wouldn't suck water. Using some tricks I know from repairing Keurigs I was able to purge the lines and it has worked fine since. I wonder if this is what happened to the demo one. This can happen to any of these machines if the add water...

    RIP Bosch

Wow That's quite impressive actually considering the complexity of the brew mechanism. I also have a Jura Capresso Impressa S8 that I got at Goodwill with about 194 cups on it but the Bosch seems better made. I had the Jura about a year before the Bosch so I've used it quite a bit more. I...

    RIP Bosch

I have the same machine, I bought it at a thrift store with like 65 cups brewed on it. How many did yours last?

    Fantom has no suction

Properly working, I'm convinced the 11 amp Fantom is the best bagless cyclonic vacuum ever made. You could run them for years and the only thing on that HEPA filter was carbon dust from the motor brushes.

    Is This Real?!?!?!

I've seen a few of these in use usually to sweep large areas like banquet rooms or hallways in hotels.

    Sirena

Parts availability One thing to consider is Rainbow parts are super easy to find. If you want an extra separator or something it's something to keep in mind.

    Fantom Hose

Extension hoses are fairly easy to find. You can modify them by carefully cutting them to replace the wand hose. If you find the bottom part of the hose assembly with a good cord hook or entire piece with a bad hose you can essentially make an entire new hose using them. I've done this multiple...

OK Fantom Fans, I need some Help!

Wand break on a Fury? I've had dozens of these and never once encountered a broken wand but interesting to know. If anything they don't filter very well in the cyclones if you intend on using them take them apart periodically and clean the motor fan vanes with a pipe cleaner. Thunders are...

    Cuisinart RECALL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got one about 4 years ago and never used it, unboxed it last night to see if it was recalled which if was. I'd return it if under warranty but it's a pain, it's their fault I'd rather just chuck the old blade.

    Regina Electrikbroom finds

Apologize for the typos. Autocorrect does not like real words apparently.

    Regina Electrikbroom finds

Regina's downfall Was just looking at the shady dealings that lead to Regin's demise. The electrikbroom was a proven design and I think outside the shady dealings they could still spbe selling these now in the original state with merely updated cosmetics.
