    Who here..

I have replaced the fan in my G3 but it was busted when I bought it. I am careful not to vacuum large objects that's why I think it's stupid to use a Kirby to vacuum a car, cause you never know what might be under the seat that you can't see. I vacuum up things as large as PENS AND PENCILS...

    Take a look at these....

I always clean my vacs in the garage and wash the bag ASAP before bringing them in the house. The more I think about it, the more disgusting it really is to me! When I was a kid out family cat got fleas and they are a nightmare. Luckly my 2 cats now have not had them and we have not bothered...

Way to beautiful to leave behind- but to what does it belong?

560 or 561 would be a good guess. The 562 was "sorroco" (tan) colored so the attachments would not be red. The older 500 series (like my 510) had cloth covered hoses but I don't know exactly when they switched to plastic. Beautiful set!!!! check out this link there is some good info as well...

    Kirby G series coin slot?

scraper slot I can understand that if it were on the Heritage and they carried it over to the Legend II, but why on the G series?

What vacuums do U regret getting rid of?

I think I will miss my Classic Omega when I sell it (or part it out). It has a non-original bag and the motor needs new bearings or something, so it's not like I'm committing a crime by giving away it's good parts to a better cause. I just need to get rid of a couple Kirbys because I need to...

    Kirby G3 Wheel tread

If you have the owners manual, it covers the topic of replacement rear wheels. The rubber wearing out is actually a feature. I would just replace the wheels and be done with it. While the G3 is a great machine it seems that not many people want to collect them (I'm having trouble trying to...

    Kirby G series coin slot?

LOL! That makes perfect sense now. Is it in the manual though?? Kirby thinks of EVERYTHING! They should have a coffee cup holder on the vacuum so when it's running nice and warm you can have a coffee break afterwards. ;)

    Kirby Sanitronic VII info request

    Kirby Sanitronic VII info request

aftermarket bag of "second" unit. This might be nice for someone with an older 500 series that needs a bag.

    Kirby Sanitronic VII info request

x2! So I went to the guy's house and he opened his shed with a surprise, another Sanitronic VII! He wanted $60 for the original one and $10 for the second one he just picked up. I gave him $65 for both. They are in rough shape and maybe I paid a bit too much but I didn't drive an hour to go...

What is the most amount you've spent on a vintage vac?

I paid $100 for my Kirby 510 which is mostly original and in great shape, and has all attachments and the manual. :) Tomorrow looking at a Sanitronic VII the guy wants $60 and claims it is original with attachments, but I have not seen pics so we'll see. Hope the bag is original at least or...

    Another new addition: Simplicity Snap

That looks like something my wife would love to use. She doesn't like the Kirbys. lol $500 is too much for me too..

    Kirby Sanitronic VII info request

Thanks guys! Nice looking vac Hoover1. I may print those off for easy reference. Not sure when I'll be able to go look at it, the guy lives over an hour away I'm trying to find a time after work when I can go get it and sneak it in the house without my wife saying "where were you?" and I've...

    Kirby Sanitronic VII info request

I may be looking to buy a Sanitronic VII sometime this week or next, they are asking $60 and claim it to be original. I've asked for pics but the person is either lazy or doe not know how. So when I go to look at it, I would like to have a checklist of what to look for regarding originality...

Does it bother someone else at your house?

I'm 28, and I've known my wife for 10 years. I've owned an old Kirby Tradition the whole time and got a Heritage II parts machine at some point as well as a Classic Omega at a yard sale- but they just sat in my parents basement, i never really did anything with them. Just this year my...

    Kirby model 512 parts needed.

from what I can tell it looks like yours has original parts, I am not sure about the cord though. Does it say Kirby on it? While it looks tan it may have faded from grey- try a little lacquer thinner on it (on my 510 the trim looked green, but it cleaned up to gray nicely.) It would be so...

    I found a Kirby G5..

Check the height of the brushroll (you can take it out and flip it around to adjust the height) it should stick out from the rugplate about a 1/16th of a inch or so. It could also need replacement. Make sure it's the proper height on the carpet, it should be lowered until you hear the suction...

    my Kirby Dual Sanitronic 80

Nice find! I'd really like a D80 myself. Hope you find a bag for it, but at least the cord looks original and you got a hose with it!
