    Numatic George opinions

Hello Now that with your help i've decided a Henry Hound isn't to be my next Numatic purchase. I (& my other half Sophie) have decided that if we are to get another vacuum one that also cleans carpets would be a good idea. I'm currently looking at the Numatic George. I realise this is also a...

    Henry Hound experiences.

Hi all After all your excellent input etc & considering the potential advantages i've decided to stick with an airobrush (I have one already) & give the 'Hound a miss as I don't think i'd be gaining much apart from another Henry (not that that's a bad thing.) Cheers for the kind offer anyway...

    Henry Hound experiences.

Hello I'm thinking of picking up a second hand Numatic Henry-Hound. Has anyone any experience of this model (good & bad) & in particular its plastic tubes? Is it worth me bothering with over my standard Henry? Cheers Dave

    Todays yard sale finds

That brushroll is disgusting. Did they never look under the damned thing !? The brushrolls I have on powerheads or air-powered heads (i've no uprights) I clean after every use. To be honest I would have thought that most people would have thought to do that or at least look at them regularly...

    1979 Electrolux 502 "High Suction"

I meant to add, what's the round plug type thing for on the back low down? Is that where tools attach? Dave

    1979 Electrolux 502 "High Suction"

£2.99 for that, wow, bargain ! Really nice vacuum, the styling is fabulous. Dave

    2012 Numatics

I noticed when in John Lewis recently their display model was an older non-eco Henry. Presumably because to the average punter one Henry looks like another they don't bother updating their displays (no matter how annoying that may be to those who can tell the difference like us). I would expect...

Straight suction canisters vs powered brush canisters.

I must admit that now i've used one & seen how good they are, I do wonder why they're not more readily available. I've used the air-powered heads & whilst they appear to be better than the straight suction heads they're noisy & don't seem as good as the electrically powered ones. Perhaps...

Straight suction canisters vs powered brush canisters.

Hi Today I tried a powerhead/ nozzle attachment with rotating brushes on one of my older Numatics. I've had the attachment a while but apart from just testing it worked hadn't used it. I've got to say the difference in the appearance of the carpets compared to just using straight suction is...

    Vacuum ads

I showed these old ads to my girlfriend. Her comment was "oh wow", "why don't they make things look funky like that anymore" Seems pretty fair comment to me ! Dave

Goblin Omni 1000 - one for Benny

I think a thread dedicated to catalogue pictures is an excellent idea. That Goblin Omni 1000 is rather an odd looking thing (I like it though), it rather looks like it's made up from bits of other vacuums. Dave

    Hoover U7008 restoration project

Hi In what ways ryry do these differ from a conventional domestic Hoover? Apologies if it's been discussed before but I was just curious as to what the actual differences are on these apart from the (cool) looks. Cheers Dave

    1982 Electrolux 414

Cool Electrolux 414 ryry, I like the squared off futuristic type styling & colour. If they'd had a vacuum cleaner on the TV show Space 1999 it would probably have looked like that :-) I like all these period brochure images, I find stuff like that fascinating. Cheers Dave

    My Collection!

Hi Can I just ask, how do these cylinder vacuums without wheels move around? Do you have to pick them up & carry them about or do they slide on the runners/ metal skids? Cheers Dave

    Everything Numatic...

That cream & brown one is cute, I have one of those little chaps & they're very appealing. Looks like he still has his brown eyes too. I like the sticker that's on its top with the Henry image, must try to get one of those for mine. Dave

Only for Miele fans. ( pics) of all miele cleaners 68 tll 84

Great pics thanks for posting those. I'm a big fan of Miele & there are some very cool models there particularly the transparent one. We have a 90's Miele S251i Airclean Plus & it's a great machine. Had it since new & it was for 12+ years our only vacuum. It's never been touched apart from...

    NV200 Numatic help

Cheers ryry, that's good to know. I'm actually already watching that Bx on ebay, not sure yet if i'll pull the trigger on it. It looks ok but I think the price may be a wee bit steep. Many thanks Dave
