Is there any history of numatic vacuums breaking?

The only other thing I heard of was the vertical press down switch that was introduced a while ago so that it could be operated with the foot, failing. Numatic don't fit this switch anymore as I think it gave quite a bit of trouble. Colin (the Numatic in my garage)has this switch & it's never...

    New Henry's

Hello In reply to "baglessball", if you go on the Numatic site & take a look at the instruction manuals for the new Henry's it shows how to fit the 3d face. There doesn't look to be any sign of a face on the tub already, it looks like without the 3d add-on there's be no face just a blank tub...

    Numatic Thread

Hello Leave it with me Joe, I finish for Christmas soon so will have some time on my hands. I'll try to get some pics of my little cream & brown Numatic chum sorted. Cheers & Merry Christmas Dave :-)

    Numatic Thread

I want a gold Henry, how cool is that! Well done Ultimatevacman for posting the link, that's made my day. Interesting that it has 2 accessory clips, I always thought the mere one we get here is a bit mean. Cream & Brown Henry's are truly lovely things, the hose should normally be brown too. I...

    New Henry's

Hello I'm surprised they're not eco's? I would've thought that feature was here to stay. I must admit i'm no business expert but i would've thought producing differently coloured faces/masks for the various different colours of models would cost more than one generic face transfer. Numatic...

    New Henry's

Hello Has anyone got or seen one of the new Henry's yet with the pipe/floor tool storage feature & new "mask" type face? I haven't been able to see one in any stores yet as all display models are the old type, so wondered how they look & work in the "flesh". Many thanks & Merry Christmas to...

    Numatic Cream and brown Charles!

I have an HVC200, they're a surprisingly powerful little vacuum (it states 800watts I think )but it feels like a lot more. I swear it has more ooomph than my modern Henry. The feature I don't like is the lack of a cord-rewind, I can definitely see why Numatic added one, it is quite awkward...

My latest toys! Dyson DC04 DeStijl, and DC03

The DC03 is a very cool looking machine. Isn't that the one that's designed to lie flat so you could hang it up for storage? Dave

    Numatic Cream and brown Charles!

I have a cream & brown Henry myself, cute little chap, the colour makes a surprising difference to their looks. The hose, plastic parts on the steel tubes & even the eyes were in brown too. They always look like they're from the 1970's to me due to the colour scheme but obviously they weren't...

    Numatic Cream and brown Charles!

The idea behind the Autosave is presumably supposed to be that people forget to switch off high mode when turning off the vacuum & go straight back onto high mode when powering back up thus using more power than necessary as you don't need high power all the time. I would have thought...

    Numatic Cream and brown Charles!

Hello I have a Henry with the Autosave feature (he's about 18 months old). I don't mind it, most of the time I just use him on normal power but when i need a bit more wallop just press the red switch & the power is there (always returning to low power on switch-off). Whether of course it's any...

    Numatic Cream and brown Charles!

Hello I can understand that Numatic used to make machines for companies/shops (I must confess I didn't know that already, so thanks for the info' vintagerepairer). It's just that the Bernie one looks so badly done, i've seen the BX BX ones etc & they look professionally made. The Bernie shown...

    Numatic Cream and brown Charles!

Hi I've seen that pic' of a "Bernie" before. Is it a proper Numatic model or one that somebody has made up themselves? The writing etc look a bit home-made. Cheers Dave

    Brown Henry Autosave?

Hi A brown Henry ! I want one !!! Where are these available to buy? I have to admit one of the things that did initially put me off buying a Henry was the fact it seemed a bit, well, basic compared to other vacuums. Now however having had one for 18 months or so (& having acquired others...)...

    2012 Numatic Henry

Hi The 3-D face seems to work quite well. Can I just ask, does the park facility for the pipes work well? It was only the lack of a park feature that stopped me getting a Henry for my mother a while ago (made it more difficult to store). Nice to see these, I keep looking in shops but all they...

Bagged vs Bagless Vacuum - Fine Dust Test

Great video's really enjoyed them, thanks for posting links. I read James Dyson's autobiography recently & he mentioned many times how bagged loses suction after it's first use. That old Hoover Junior still being able to lift the carpet after sucking up all that flour pretty much says it all ...

    Numatic George opinions

Hello Thanks very much to all for all the comments & opinions they've definitely helped ! After a great deal of deliberation it looks like the way forward might be to buy a dedicated carpet cleaner (Bissell) & possibly get a Numatic Charles wet & dry at a later date (Charles could take care if...

    Numatic George opinions

Hi all Interesting stuff this guys, thanks for all the comments. The house is a modern 2 bed semi' & we've no pets or children. The carpets aren't especially dirty we just really want to freshen them up generally & just clean the "high traffic" areas that inevitably get grubbier than the rest...
