    Filter Queen accessory power failure

The accessory power outlet on my 360 has failed. For those that regularly perform repairs, is this a pretty simple problem to fix? Thanks in advance!

    Bit of a shopping spree

Awesome deal on the Kirby! I thought the one I found for $100 was great, but yours knocked that deal outta the park! :)

Large haul of Kirby demo tools & promotional stuff!!

Wow! If anybody here buys this, I hope they might be willing to sell one of those airflow meters. I simply have not been able to find one. :/

NEW WATER TRAP VACUUM SYSTEM RITELLO

The video showed a brushed motor, very similar to the first E Series motors in appearance. It looks like they've largely copied the E Series, and added multiple speeds. They've created their own styling, but it's pretty much a nineties E Series with a few improvements.

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

It's all back together and running nicely...gotta admit, the fan assembly turns much more nicely now after a cleaning. :)

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

Truth to tell, I hadn't even considered the PN yet. Once I get the main up and running, I'll take a look at it, but I used it the other day, and it worked nice with a clean brushroll.

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

Already bought a set on eBay, should be here soon.

    Aerus lux guardian ultra

And just my two cents, with nary a bit of vacuum partisanship: Never use a finance contract to buy any vacuum. If you can't pay cash for it, wait til you can. You'll probably see the price come down for cash, too.

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

I'm sure the stink would come out of it after a teardown like mine, Brandon! :D

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

Oh, that one wasn't mine...Brandon_W_T posted that as a pic of one he used to own. The one with the stink he could never clean out of it, previously owned by a Rainbow salesperson who badly mistreated it. I'm pretty sure that one was an E2, it looks like one, if really rough. Mine looks rough...

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

The filter is there, and I suppose it might need a change, but looking at its design, it looks much more likely that it's intended to minimize carbon dust going out than keep anything from coming in. I'm pretty sure I'm right because the filter is dirtiest from the inside, and the outside is...

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

The motor and upper case were very clean. The only dust in there was carbon dust from the brushes. I did a lot of the cleaning tonight, and will finish it and reassemble tomorrow. It's amazing what you can get done with a brush and baby wipes. :) Oh, and speaking of a brush...besides the...

Okay, I deleted the first video in favor of one with more illustrated steps.

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

Okay, I've started my teardown, and have begun a video how-to. It's a work in progress, and stops where I've currently stopped. :)

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

@mark40511: That picture is bad, mine is worse. At least the dust stops at the opening...mine is ALL around the cavity where the filter fits. I didn't take a picture because those sorts of pics rarely come out right, but it's pretty bad.

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

@mark40511: Yep, I'm gonna do it! I could pay to have it done, and I'm certain that if I really screw it up, I can pay to have it put back together, but that site I linked, along with some other info I read last night, showed that it's just not that hard with an E Series. It's probably easier...

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

Okay, I found a good site with a lot of detail on an E Series teardown, lots of pics and good advice. I figure this will be the project of a few weekends, but the end result will be worth it. I'd better order the motor bearing and filters and gaskets soon. :) http://rainbow-vacuum.info/

Rainbow E Series, what am I missing?

Okay, I learned how to remove the HEPA filter thanks to a quick and dirty tip on greatvacs dot com, and found it to be VERY dusty in that space before the filter, and the filter itself a nice tan color on the inside. I figure the machine must have had some nice long runs with some very dirty...
