It was a safety feature for the brushes. I believe they put that in after there were incidents of the Gears of the Brushes stripping and the earlier versions of the Dual V didn’t have that switch. Your Dual V must be one of the ones that has the Rocker Switch.

Is yours an earlier model? From what I know, those had a rocker switch that tripped whenever the brushes got stuck. They’re very interesting units, too.

Single Brush Model. I know that the Dual Brushed ones were awful.

Self Propelled Windtunnel U6430-900 My first ever Maytag Windtunel~ Got this when I was 15. Still going strong after 22 years. Used this Yesterday downstairs, too! From October 2001.

Hoover Windtunnel Lite U5402-900 This one's a 2007 model. One of the last ones before they switched over to those TTI Motors. I do wish to find an Anniversary Windtunnel Supreme and swap the Motor in that out for the Windtunnel Lite's Motor.

Hey. It's been awhile! As you may know, I got some new LEDs for my Windtunnels and I want to give some updates on them.

With the LED Bulbs, they also look more like the Images used on the old Hoover.xom.

Yesterday, I got a pack of LED Bulbs to replace a burnt out bulb in my Preferred. Since I had 20 of them, I decided to upgrade all my Maytag Hoovers to the LEDs and they look pretty cool. Also, is it just me or that the Original Bulbs used with these become more Orange as they age?

So, Yesterday, My parents took me to my friend’s and I bought this from him. I wanted one of these for a long time and I’m considering my Collection complete!

One thing I didn’t know about these Maytag Twin Chambers is that they had the picks for the filter one the side. Thought the Anniversary and SP Twin Chambers only had this feature.

So, when I got this, it was missing both the extension wands and crevice wand so I had to borrow them from my Tempo and use the long Crevice tool I had. I also had to replace the roller since the one it came with was bad. I know these models were Lowe’s Exclusives, I’m happy to keep this..
