    Electrolux Diamond Edition

Regarding replacing the screw... So, can you guys tell me how do you replace the screw that attaches the cover to the body? You can't access it directly unless you were to use an offset screw driver like the "SkewDriver". Is this correct?

    Electrolux Diamond Edition

Is this So, is this a common issue with this model? Both of you who have commented said you both have had this problem. Do you either of you happen to have an extra screw? I am missing one.

    Electrolux Diamond Edition

There is... Hey Kenny! Thanks for responding! There is one screw missing on the door side but the other one is slightly loose. Could that minor thing be making all the difference?

    Electrolux Diamond Edition

Hi Guys! Can anyone tell me why this Diamond Edition's bag compartment door seems to have too much space between the body? It also feels like there is a slight bit of resistance when you close it, yet nothing appears to be out of line. There are no major dents that could be causing this and the...

My 1st True Classic Deluxe Convertible!!!!

Do not use suggestions mentioned! Use a product called Pliobond. It's what is used to glue new hosing material into machine ends. You will not need a lot. A thin coating and you're good to go. Any hairlike filament/strands are easily removed once dried. It also allows you to get it in the...

    Sunbeam Radiant Toaster

You're on to something too! Hey Frank! I am beginning to wonder if there is another shard of glass lodged somewhere in there. I will give another shake down tomorrow and see if anything else falls out by chance.....stay tuned!

    Sunbeam Radiant Toaster

OK...here's where I'm at... I tried playing with the adjustment screw and I did get it to turn on....BUT Here's what happens.... I hear a hum that says it's activated and I feel it starting to heat up but the activator lever though it starts to lower, it then stops and the heat coils turn...

    Sunbeam Radiant Toaster

Hey Guys! Can anyone shed some light on a Sunbeam radiant toaster? This particular one that I have appears not to have been used all that much as it is in really good condition. I suspect it was retired because it will not turn on and lower the toast when a slice is inserted. The cord is in...

Hoover RS Convertible U4597 Agitator Oddity

Never.... Never attach the converter with the motor running! Natural vibration makes it difficult for your hand to steady it onto the frame of the machine. And if it slips it could damage the converter itself, the nozzle opening, or worse yet, your fingers/hand. Always turn the machine off...

Hoover RS Convertible U4597 Agitator Oddity

Missing Beater Bars Here is the reason I was given as to why these agitators do not have beater bars: Carpeting years ago was porous meaning, that the backing was breathable and which further meant that dirt and debris could penetrate the carpet fibers and sit on the padding underneath. When...

    “Royal” birthday present!

Certified International model 606 branded by Royal Here is my model 606 Certified International branded by Royal. The original bag to this machine should have been a light blue cotton fabric , I believe. I do not believe that this had the blue commercial bag with the crown on it. This is one of...

A Dirty Old Kirby For The New Year

Here's a quick tip... Hey Huskyvac! If you have an air compressor, take the machine outside and blast it with air--it will blow much of the crap off of it. Then, take quad-grade (0000) steel wool and use it dry to polish the bare metal first. Again, you will see a noticeable improvement and it...

    How Often ?

I would say.... use your judgement. If you use it everyday....then oil once a year. If it's not your daily driver but an occasional use machine, then every few years. You ONLY need 2-3 drops. NO MORE! I have read in a piece of Royal literature a section on oiling and the type of oil to be...

    Kirby Ultimate G

Hey Guys! I need some help here from some Kirby gurus. I have an Ultimate G (not the Diamond Edition-though they are virtually the same model-but without the speed switch selector). I replaced the fan--all done the proper way using the correct part. However, I noticed that the motor has a...

Panasonic Upright MC-5210 for parts only

Hey Guys! I have a Panasonic MC-5210 Upright for parts only. It's apart and the motor has been removed. I will also include the motor. Not all parts are there to make it a completely working machine again. I have the base, body back and front, handle, motor, and cord. Its color is an off-white...

Original Electrolux Saran Hoses--True or False?

Can someone tell me if this is the real deal? I have several original Saran Electrolux hoses-you know, the kind that are so short that the machine is always nipping at your butt! Well, anyway, I had been told by a reputable Electrolux dealer that I frequent for used parts etc., that these...
