    Latest toy..

Picture 2,the rear. All original tools. Not in bad shape, few marks here and there but it appears to have been gently used. Also, can someone tell me what the yellow switch is on the swivel neck? What's it's function?

    Latest toy..

So, treated myself, the latest addition. Sebo X4. After demonstrating these at work, I've been so impressed I've got one for myself. Sebo_fan will be proud! Picture 1 shows it in the flesh. Came with extras such as the dusting brush which is brilliant and also the extension tube. Now that...

Pictorial thread of Hoover UK's Turbo models (turbopower etc)

I remember as a kid a purple hoover brochure with the turbopowers. They were great cleaners, it's sad to see the junk that they now associate their name with

    Hoover unplugged 30v - impressions

So, we have the above at work, just recently in. As my department is floorcare, it was my job to put it out and give it a try. I must stress enough, that this cleaner is awful. It's supposed to have 30volts or the equivalent of an hour, similar to the AEG ultrapower. However, a asthmatic mouse...

Dyson long term durability vs. other brands

Totally agree with what is said. The quality has dropped ever since the move to Malaysia. The newer machines feel very plasticky (no metal) and aren't worth their price, not when a Miele and Sebo are exactly the same price (if not slightly cheaper), yet 100 times better. Also, Dyson, moved to...

    Hoover "Sparkle" Karcher Window Vac

Now why is this not a surprise. At first cashing in on steam mops like Shark and cordless vacs like electrolux now this. I guess this will be no doubt inferior compared to the Karcher

    Electrolux Brush Roll Clean

I have tried it on our demo ones at work, it's on all AEG uprights, Powerlite, precision, Ergorapido and ultrapower. It makes an awful racket as Ryan says, but amazingly it does actually work, I was rather impressed, it appears to be a genuinely good feature rather than gimmick.

    FILTACLEAN at Lakeland

I'm not sure either, personally it looks like the 'college' ruled paper out of notebooks.

    Check out my new driver!

Sorry sebofan, no offence meant. What I was trying to say, is that the felix achieves what the oreck should have been. The felix is relatively lightweight yet it's powerful and versatile because it has the tools on board. That's what I like about it, the detachable head as you say and it can be...

    Check out my new driver!

Yes it will, although I am eyeing up a sebo felix. I really like the idea behind it. I'm sure I'll be burnt at the post, but the felix is everything the oreck should actually have been. Let the pitchforks enter!

    Check out my new driver!

Thanks, it's my parents kitchen, it's part of our extension which we built ourselves, my dad is a joiner and dabbles with construction, so it made sense. That kitchen was my suggestion, I was worried it might be too modern for them. Yes it has the headlight, I tried to show it in the last...

    Check out my new driver!

Apart from cosmetics, it works beautifully as you can see. It was surprisingly not too dirty, but I gave it all a bit of a clean up. The swivelling neck is fine, the brush roll is fine, electronics are fine and it is not overheating. It cleans GREAT!

Another one. I know it doesn't look perfect, but you didn't see it before!

    Check out my new driver!

As well as physical damage, the main silver body was covered in scuffs. It had normal use apparently, although I guess the shiny paintwork on Mieles is susceptible. When your mum has loads of nail polishes going, its easy to touch up. A bit of touching up the gouges and scuffs, rub with acetone...

    Check out my new driver!

All complete on the rear, the steel extension was not locking properly, a couple of dozen retractions and its fine. The body was a bit scuffed, a bit of back to black for car plastics and it looks practically like new

    Check out my new driver!

It came with a damaged back plate, it looks like it had a previous attempt to remove it, as there were screwdriver marks, and the screw tab was sheared off the motor housing. 1 hour, a bit of plastic and a electric welding iron and its as good as new

    Check out my new driver!

Got a my collection to a start. My new driver from now on. Miele Autocare S7580. In the end cost £50, I bartered it down!

The Love Child of a Miele S6/SEBO K1 Series?

It does, the foot pedals look very Miele. Lawsuit here we come?! By the way, is it just me or is that colour hideous?

    Wednesday was an interesting day

That's true, although I'm not sure I think it was a case of cash flow, I think it was more of a case that they had the large attic space for Miele so the second half downstairs was redundant. I think the half now sells watches if memory serves me right, unless it's further down. I used to work...
