    My New Hoover!!!!

That's cool! I didn't know Hoover offered something like this. I must say I am excited for my new "Slider" to get here.

I wonder what could be in here?

That's just wonderful Austin, what a great unit! I find the beater bar "humming" to be much more intense with the older units as well. Perhaps that is owing to the fact the machine is heavier and holding more fast to the rug.

What are your favorite Private Label Machines?

Wow, very cool. I'm just amazed by all this. I have to agree with you Tom on the color scheme on the Decade units...I liked the Hoover version's mint green colors. I've never actually used one of those, but liked the looks of them.

What are your favorite Kirby models????

fkirby511, those are wonderful machines, on the older one, is that extra nozzle used with that brush below it for bare floors?

What are your favorite Private Label Machines?

Very interesting Fred! The cleaner you have marked with a ??? is a Eureka-made unit, I've seen them with the Eureka name. I see they were sourcing a few things from Eureka even way back. Were there ever any Hoovers sold under the Hoover name with that square Eureka type bag? Do those hold type...

What are your favorite Private Label Machines?

That is so cool! So many things I never knew existed! Slimlines, Floor a Matics, the whole ball of wax! That Concept type unit had to have been there when I was working there, but for whatever reason all that sticks out in my mind are JCPenney-labeled Eureka Ironside Canisters with power...

    Hoover Suction Polisher

Tom, to your knowledge, these were never sold in the states, right?

    Convertible U4173

Great group shot, Pete! Tom or anybody, have you ever seen a 1020 style machine like that with a green bag, instead of the tan? The denim unit was my very first Hoover. I'd seen it at an estate sale, and was telling Jeff Parker about it on Hooverland. He made the strong suggestion that I go...

What are your favorite Private Label Machines?

Wow, Western Auto too, I did not know about that one, nor have I ever seen any Hoover product with that Eureka style square top bag! I just love learning all these new things. I'm thinking the "Penncrest" brand name may have disappeared about the time they stopped using that stylized P for...

What are your favorite Kirby models????

My personal favorite is the Dual 50 with the lighted Kirby logo. I also like the 5 series units and Dual 80. I had a Tradition which I liked ok at the time but the big head ones can be cumbersome in daily practice. I had a Heritage Legend with the smaller head that was really nice.

What are your favorite Private Label Machines?

Wow! This is my first time ever seeing a Penncrest DAM or Connie! Very cool! I always did like their Convertibles. By the time I worked there in the early 80s, at least the canister cleaners were sourced by Eureka, and things were already being called "JCPenney" instead of "Penncrest". I don't...

    Dirt Devil Broomy!

Yeah, why do you guys get all the cute names like "Broomy" and stuff, and we have plain old "Broom Vac" LOL

    Kenmore...

Birtman Electric These cleaners were made by a company I think was called Birtman Electric. They were also sold under the name "BeeVac". I had one prior to downsizing for my move to California. I mostly displayed it but the motor was perfectly fine and had great suction (this was within the...

    P.O.D. on Eleanor Powell

Fred, I bet the Lux person came to her home and she bought them from him there.

    What was our first??

Tom, those are both great. I wouldn't have thought you'd still be able to get a metal convertible in 1995. You've really gathered your large collection in a relatively short period of time! That model 63 is wonderful. I have a very, very nice one too, that I found at an estate sale. There was...

    Thank You Jeff Parker!

How wonderful, Tom! I like how the little decal thingy in front of the light matches the bag. I was not, for a long time, that big a fan of the full hood machines, but I have garnered an appreciation for them over time and they're really fun for me to see. There were quite a variety of them!

    Panasonic uprights (pics)

Pete a former roommate has that bigger unit, bought it new 14 years ago and still has it. I was there then and I liked it. Nice and quiet and convenient to use.

    My Christmas present to myself

Very nice! Enjoy! I did not realize they were now offering a power nozzle with a light. I like that! I also like the controls on the hose handle, and best of all the color! :-) I have been very happy with my Miele cleaner, it is a joy to use.
