My mistake. NO Kirbys before ~1970 had the bank. ALL Kirbys after the Classic 1CR (I think) had the bank. Excluding, of couse, the Sentria and Sentria II.

The Dual 80 was the first Kirby to have the new wide handle fork, therefore it was the first to have the Kirby Bank. The 518 did not have this because it still had the cylindrical handle with a red rubber grip. The D80 debuted in 1967.

It's a Kirby Bank. Used to store coins you find while you're vacuuming to save up for bags and belts.

Electrolux There is a heavily rigged Electrolux Model G or thereabouts in Mouse Hunt.

Insults... If someone told me my machines were "stink bombs" or some other insult, I'd punch them in the face.

You cannot re-use HEPA bags, or any other disposal bag for that matter. The bag material will get weaker and weaker every time you vacuum it out, and you will risk having the bag bust inside the machine. Vacuuming it out won't do much good anyways because all the very fine dust becomes trapped...
