    Which brushroll to get?

We'll see how it goes. The cops here probably couldn't even give a crap about a vacuum cleaner. They might miss their donuts.

    Which brushroll to get?

I have a plan... I will go over there tomorrow afternoon and rescue my Sanitaire. Then, I'll spend $60 on sanitairevacuumsales.com to make it feel loved. What can possibly go wrong?

    Which brushroll to get?

He already knows it's mine because I told him I collect vacuum cleaners as soon as I walked in. This is driving me absolutely insane. I've pretty much memorized the Sanitaire parts inventory of sanitairevacparts.com trying to figure out if it would be possible to build my own Sanitaire. For all...

    Which brushroll to get?

What I'm strongly considering doing is just going over there Friday afternoon (I don't get off until 4:45 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday) demanding to get my machine back. If be puts up a fight, I'll call the police.

    Advance (Eureka) questions

This is a rebadged Sanitaire. They are easy as pi to fix. You can pop the top to gain access to the motor. Then, remove four screws that hold the motor down, and pry the motor up with a screwdriver. You now have access to the fan. About the bag, you can buy a new Sanitaire red or black...

    Which brushroll to get?

I will NEVER take a machine in a vac shop that I intend to leave with ever again. I had to give my name and phone number (in retrospect, that should have been my cue to get the hell out!) and when (if) he calls, I won't be able to answer it because my job requires me to have my cell phone off...

    Which brushroll to get?

I learned a valuable lesson today... Ever since A to Z vacuums (my local vac shop) closed down, I've been having to fend for myself. Well, I made the mistake of taking the Sanitaire to House of Vacuums, which is much farther away. I had no intentions of leaving without the Sanitaire, but that's...

Need help with my Kirby D50

We discussed this at the convention... ... And we came to the conclusion that it is OK to use a knurled belt only if you have a ball bearing brushroll.

I think I'll just get this. Stock all the way, don't ya know.

    Which brushroll to get?

I hate those springs! I was relieved to find that this machine's hood is (was) held on with screws. I want this machine to be perfect, so I will be buying it a brand new hood, putting in an older Sanitaire motor, getting a new fan and, eventually a brand new brushroll. I've heard of people...

    Which brushroll to get?

Plastic hood and new parts Looks like I'll be spending lots of money to get a new plastic hood for my Sanitaire, since the mounting stems broke clean off the old one.* I would super glue it, but the hood's so scratched up, I might as well replace it with a new one. I'll be keeping the original...

    Which brushroll to get?

Can I also replace the fan by removing the Quick Kleen housing?

    Which brushroll to get?

Looks like I'll be getting the genuine Eureka beater bar. I found a store online that sells all Sanitaire parts at very good prices. http://www.sanitairevacuumsales.com/index.htm

    Which brushroll to get?

That's what I was thinking. I wonder if it is safe to wash the bag in the bathtub?

    Which brushroll to get?

I recently acquired a Sanitaire SC-684 from the World's Longest Yardsale for $5.00. The brushroll it came with is genuine Eureka VGII, but it vibrates really bad and feels like it's seizing up. Should I spend lots of money and get the genuine VGII, or save ten dollars and get a four row all...

I scored at the World's Longest Yardsale today!

I don't really know what to do with the G3. I already have a nice G3 in the background behind the G4, so I don't really need another one. The Sanitaire has brushroll issues, so I'll have to mend that. The Royal just needs a good cleaning and to get the handle spring fixed.

I scored at the World's Longest Yardsale today!

I got a Kirby G3 for $11.00, a Sanitaire for $5.00, and a Royal for $8.00. All of which need a bit of sprucing up. They will probably get the spa treatment next week. Both the G3 and the Royal have bad handle springs.

I'm HEEEEEERE again, in the Holy Land!

Beautiful is right! The next time I'm in Ohio, I will definitely visit the Holy Land. I've just been listening to Coast to Coast AM, and apparently Ohio is having some really bad issues with water. They say that Lake Erie is contaminated with algae and it's making people sick. Cases of bottled...
