I put this drive into my G5 and it works, but it is reverse happy. It won't go forward unless you push it really hard. I'm going to adjust the two screws backwards just a little bit and see if that helps. It also needs a new cam actuator.

What a coincidence! Just today, I got a smooth finish 1205 at the thrift store store for $12.

Just use a knurled belt on a G series machine for a while and then your belt will get nice and stretched. That's what I do and it works fine.

Pardon me for going against the norm, but I prefer the feel of cleaning with a Sanitaire. It just feels like a superior machine compared to any of the later Hoovers. And it's easier to service, too.

Tornado Hi-Lo Carpetkeeper I saw an ad once for the Tornado Hi-Lo Carpetkeeper machine. It looked very much like a Panasonic Jet-Flo. I've never seen a machine like that in pictures or in person.

My 2 Panasonics I have a Jet-Flo MC-6220, and a Jet-Flo MC-6337. The latter doesn't get used much because it has a really bad brushroll problem.

I don't think it's bright enough Maybe a Westinghouse Silverliner with a 400 watt mercury vapor would be better suited to this vacuum. I've got plenty of light bulbs to go around, though.

I don't think polarity matters on AC. Take the transmission out of the machine and on the back, right above the shifter, you will find three screws. Don't adjust the screw in the middle. Try unscrewing the screws on the right an equal amount. In the photo look closely at the mass of black...
