WANTED: Royal Metal Upright hose & Attachment set

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7QS02Q/?tag=patfeedama-20   This is what the set looks like, for those who don't know.  The fancier setwas the 305G and the cheaper, plastic set was the 304. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00B7QS02Q/?tag=patfeedama-20

    Electro Hygiene Company Question

dysonman1 I did know that they were just Royal machines more or less re-branded (with the scent chamber).  It is an interesting idea and I do wonder if it is possible to make it actually work with the right chemicals (and still be safe).

WANTED: Royal Metal Upright hose & Attachment set

Everyone,        I have a Royal Pro Series Metal Vacuum coming to me soon (the kind with the black bag, 9 amp motor, and headlight) and would love to use some attachments!  My contact in the vacuum industry said the kits were discontinued a few years back.  If you have a clean set or know of...

    Electro Hygiene Company Question

Hi everyone!        I know there is a fellow who used to work for Electro Hygiene on here and have read a number of threads, but I want to know this:    Do we know why the company went out of business?  I heard something about direct selling practices, but nothing specific.  ...

My new 12 Amp Mighty Mite "Pet Lover"

vacuumdevil I did notice a few air leaks.  I'm using HEPA bags, so it should do okay, minus the carbon.  A lot of the air is going through the filter, so that's something.  I figured the Sanitaire versions would be more solid of course.

My new 12 Amp Mighty Mite "Pet Lover"

THERE IS A CLOG! There is residual plastic from the molding process almost completely blocking off the hose in the sharp angle in the handle!  It is almost impossible to photograph.  I'm going to try and bust it loose.  I also found a replacement, wire-reinforced hose too.     Well, I...

My new 12 Amp Mighty Mite "Pet Lover"

I ended up getting my brother a Sanitaire Mighty Mite for Christmas and he liked it so much that I decided to get one for myself, but opted for an extra 2 amps just because.  It arrived today from EcoVac (https://www.ecovacuum.com/1.html).  Weaker fit and finnish by a little bit compared to...

Watermatic V and Filter Magic 2008 Edition video

I really love the R2D2 form factor as well.    I did see your video a while back when I was first looking into them!  I do believe you have the model mislabeled though.

Watermatic V and Filter Magic 2008 Edition video

dysonman1 Thanks for the kind words!  They are solid machines!  I do wonder why there was no Watermatic IV...   Do you use extra filters at all?  I really like using Silverking filters underneath the main filter to keep things clean.

Watermatic V and Filter Magic 2008 Edition video

Everyone,        I did a video comparing the two vacuums and even did a water lift, CFM, and filtration test.  Enjoy!

    Tristar CS Filtration and Performance

@vacuumdevil vacuumdevil:        See the last picture.  They do make an OEM HEPA filter, though I do see how it does not seal perfectly.  If they made sure the rest of the body was sealed and added a rubber gasket to the existing filter designs, it would be a simple but great improvement. ...

    Tristar CS Filtration and Performance

compactc9guy I did an exhaustive search before and even contact Tristar.  None exist for the newer models.

Steril Aire ST-450 and Delta D-450

I've just been on a non-stop roll here with all the posting!  I swear, I don't mean to flood this place!   I was fiddling on ebay and came across a Delta d-450:      https://www.ebay.com/itm/Delta-canister-vacuum-cleaner-model-d-450/163463498899?hash=item260f2f0c93:g:dtwAAOSw3GlcLE4p...

Thinking of buying a Kirby and conflicted between models

My first high-end vacuum, and the first vacuum that I personally owned, was (and is) an Avalir.  Fantastic machine!  It is stored upstairs so I carry it down every time I use it.  Between the two different carry positions, you should have no issues.  I would love to have an older model too, but...

    Tristar CS Filtration and Performance

Blackheart I think that must be the case.  It is quite loud but performs really well.   tolivac I think even a well made multi layer paper bag would be an improvement too.  If they wanted to keep the current bags, they could revise the pre-motor filter a bit.  Make a HEPA dome filter...

    Tristar CS Filtration and Performance

compactc9guy Well, I have no warranty anyway!  It was an experiment to see what would happen.  I placed it under the sponge filter, so all other filters were still in place.   broomvac   Everyone is different and comes from a different perspective.  For reference, the attached picture...

    Tristar CS Filtration and Performance

Everyone,        I just wanted to share a little test I did with my Tristar.  I took a HEPA Silverking filter and cut out a section to fit under the foam pre-motor filter on my Tristar and ran it for a little over a bag (the tail end of a bag and then a whole bag).  It is actually pretty...
