The demo cone and the liturature that came with it!
Behold the other goodies!
Oh, and I do have the hose and such. It's in great shape but needs to be wiped down. She was using this machine regularly. Used to use her Kirby G5 too, until she moved into a place with very little carpet. ...

Switched out the batting today. The old stuff was pretty dark, though it isn't as bad as I would have thought for a machine this old. I have it loaded up with a genuine bio-cone, charcoal cone, and medi-pure filter. It registered around 25k on the particle counter, but it is hard to...

I undersand what you meant, though I would rather have a Workhorse than a Ball. It seems far more serviceable and I like how the filters are easy to access, clean, replace, etc. But, to each his own.
Pictures soon to come!
O got my first Filter Queen from an older woman who bought it in Arizona from a (now defunct) dealer over there. She used it regularly, but still had some "For Demonstration Purposes Only" filter cones with it. I cleaned it up as best I can and am waiting on new...
I find the current model Royals, both Commercial and Pro-Series, to have an awful rattle, especially when reversing. I'm not sure what causes it. I've held any loose part I could find to see if I could make the sound change to no avail. The old 7 amp machines are smooth and quiet though.
I dropped off my XXX at Stark's for a deep cleaning of the motor, and likely lubrication. With the suggestions here, I've ordered materieals to make a pre-motor filter and have contacted a fellow to get after filters. I also ordered a modern aftermarket bag so I can just toss it in the mashing...
The how to is easy, cut the material to shape/size. The real question is where can I find large sheets of vacuum cleaner grade foam filter material? I'd like to cut some for my Electrolux XXX and maybe a couple other vacuums.
Thanks!
My first post on the vintage side of things I believe!
So, let's keep this brief. I now have an Electrolux Deluxe XXX with everything but the dusting brush (and any of the fun add ons, like the moth fogger thing). The tool caddy is missing the metal bits to hold the upholstery tool, so...
The adapter suggested didn't actually work to allow standard attachments, but I did find this:

I'll order it at try...
I've found that my new Pro-Series and the Commercial units I got for my church are quite rattly sounding, especially when pulling backwards. I can't pinpoint the source of the vibration though. I've grabbed onto most every loose part I can think of to see if the sound would change to no...
I think they are al re-brands. But, are they all good machines? I don't know. It was a lovely choice for the branch. The cleaning crew stopped bringing their vacuum and started using it. They have an old Hoover wind tunnel bagged machine. The same kind you would have had in your home.
