    Swiftly Nifty Thrifty Tripping

Saddle Bags Can the saddle bag attachment carrier be taken off the Royal canister? It looks like it's riveted or screwed on. I kind of think the vacuum would look nicer without it.

Sam That's a very nice vac. I like the muli-color schemes a lot.

    electrolux G? Maybe?

Triangle Attachment Is that triangle attachment an aftermarket item? Or was that produced by Electrolux?

    Tristar All Spruced Up!

Wart Hog Filter I probably shouldn't say this, but the "wart hog" filter looks a little pornographic to me! LOL!

    Tristar All Spruced Up!

Scott, what a keen eye you have! The power nozzle was actually leaning a little. That's why it looks slightly off. I didn't notice it until after the photos were all shot and didn't want to go back and take a new one!

VGII Brushroll -- where to find? Where can one find the VGII brushroll? I've looked around and can't find one for the canister power nozzle. Eric, does the after market hose have an air bleeder valve? I think that's the one drawback of the OEM hose. Thanks! Bill

And to think . . . Some call this the "Pig." It does look rather elegant in its pastel green. And Tania lends an even greater elegance to a beautiful machine!

Oh, I forgot . . . I did buy the attachments too. I was hoping they would be the clear speckled ones. Perhaps one day I'll find them! Bill

    Tristar All Spruced Up!

Deodorizing Alex, I completely disassembled the main unit and the power nozzle and washed everything thoroughly. But even after washing, the smoke smell seems to adhere to plastic and rubber. So I spayed a product on them called "Liquid Alive." It is an enzyme that eats any odor causing...

    Tristar All Spruced Up!

A Cleaning Machine! Plus, this thing is a cleaning machine! But I've noticed that I now have an odd fascination with the debris in the dust bag! Is it odd to enjoy opening the dust bag cover to look at the contents?

    Tristar All Spruced Up!

Shot Three What I especially like about this machine is that EVEN I can work on it! My thanks especially to Sandy McLendon for providing some excellent guidance.

    Tristar All Spruced Up!

Well, I finally have my $31 Ebay Tristar all spruced up. I replaced the belt and brushroll, cord, and power nozzle bumper. The nameplate was knocked off, so I ordered one of those too. Unfortunate, Tristar doesn't make the push pin type any longer. It's just a decal. The selector decal on the...

    electrolux G? Maybe?

Question for Rick What is that little device sitting next to your crevice tool on the XXX? It looks like it could be some kind of air bleeder attachment. I've never seen one of those before.

    electrolux G? Maybe?

Model XXX That is a Model XXX (30) that was made from about 1937 to 1952 (or there abouts). I think that particular model had the longest production run of any Electrolux model.

    NIB Compact Winners!

HEPA Motor Filter Fred, how does the HEPA motor filter work for you? Does it seem to restrict airflow/suction any? I'm presently using the Filter Fresh, but it puts too much back pressure on the motor for me. As soon as I use up the three that I have, I'll stop using them. I hate to waste...

    TRI STAR

HEPA Motor Filter Has anyone used the HEPA motor filter that Eric mentioned? I've seen it offered on some sites. If so, what did you think? Is it better than the standard foam filter? Does it restrict airflow? Is it really HEPA?

    TRI STAR

Airflow ttuee2206 is right that the cloth and paper bags are THE most necessary filters. The way the air flows through the bag and drops the debris to the bottom helps to ensure that very little dust flows through the motor. Tristar recommends replacing the motor filter once a year, while...
