2012 Sentria - What do I need to be careful about?

I just went to look at it. It had a good deal of oxidation and was pretty filthy, and there was no opportunity to hear it run before purchasing. I decided to pass on it.

2012 Sentria - What do I need to be careful about?

I'm going to look at a Sentria 1 built in 2012 that is for sale locally. Other than the obvious things that a person would look at when buying a used item, is there anything in particular I should be concerned about? If the vacuum is in decent cosmetic condition and appears to operate...

My new 12 Amp Mighty Mite "Pet Lover"

I had one of these for about 7 or 8 years. It was a good purchase for me. Although, I recently sold it. It was a decent performer and still working well when I "rehomed" it. Early on, I bought a bare floor nozzle for it. I didn't care for the hard floor performance from the nozzle that came...

    Sanitaire S675A video review

The envirocare bags that I discussed in the video are "micro filtration". They are paper on the outside and have some things, delicate, inner liner that turned to shreds after one vacuum session that lasted less than 30 minutes.

    Sanitaire S675A video review

@abcvacplacentia - howdy. The one time I used it was at my in-laws house. I was pre-vacuuming before cleaning their carpet with the extractor. My mother-in-law asked me if my sanitaire picked up much dirt, so I took the bag off the machine and looked inside. Not only was there a good amount...

    Sanitaire S675A video review

I also like the ball bearing design of the VGI vibragroomer brush roll vs the sleeve bearings in the VGII unit. It's just my personal preference.

    Sanitaire S675A video review

Keeping the VGI :) I had a Sanitaire S645 and it had the VGII brush roll. I prefer the VGI on my carpets. The 4 rows of bristles on the VGI do a better job getting the pet hair for me compared to the VGII brush roll with only 2 rows of bristles and the beater sections. Back in 1985, I had...

    Sanitaire S675A video review

I've had this machine for 2 months and I've been using it daily. I bought it new in box as a close out from Go vacuum on eBay ($201.87 inc shipping). I did have to run a bead of RTV sealant along the edge of the chute exiting the fan chamber toward the bag to address a dust leak that wasn't...

Kirby Omega - Sentria II bag assy ?

Please see the youtube video above posted by kirbyclassicIII- obviously a Sentria II bag can be installed on a Classic Omega. What I want to do is outfit a Classic Omega to accept a HEPA disposable bag vs the current dump bag set up. I cannot use a dump bag system due to my allergies unless I...

Kirby Omega - Sentria II bag assy ?

Thank you everyone. Question- Would a Sentria II bag and fill tube fit on a Heritage II / Legend emptor installed on this Omega?

Kirby Omega - Sentria II bag assy ?

A neighbor has offered me a free Kirby Omega in nice shape- works and is complete. I would be using this vacuum frequently and the idea of a dump out bag is a no-go for me. would a Sentria II bag assembly fit and function on the omega?

Robot Vacuum Cleaners - Novelty or Useful Tool?

Beware the "pooptastrophe" potential There are a number of videos that happen to catch this event taking place..... and even one on how to clean the robotic vacuum after the fact.

Not mine, but it should belong to somebody that will love it!

I'm not a collector, but I happened upon this ad on the Akron Ohio Craigslist, and thought that a collector should own this machine. Gold, Hoover 65 convertible that looks to be in pretty nice shape.

Is the Riccar Sunburst the same vac as the Bissesl Zing?

@vacuumdevil Yes, lesson learned. This is probably the last, new vacuum that I ever buy from a dealer...ever. I don't mind paying extra for knowledge and service and supporting a local business, but 3 times the price.....not so much.

Is the Riccar Sunburst the same vac as the Bissesl Zing?

Returning it is not an option. The dealer will only do exchanges within 3 days. I've had it for a week and the dealer doesn't carry the Bissell Zing. It will probably be the last vacuum that I buy from a local dealer.

Is the Riccar Sunburst the same vac as the Bissesl Zing?

I recently mentioned in a comment on a post here that I purchased a Riccar Sunburst suction only canister from my local dealer. It met my criteria of being small, decent suction, not too loud, and good emissions (hepa bag). I use it for bare floor and above the floor cleaning. The tools...

Consider converting to the ST Hepa bags. I have a Sanitaire S675A that uses the ST bags. The fill tube and holder for the ST bags just fits over the fill tube for the F&G bags. I gave my Sanitaire S645A to my son and as soon as he is out of the F&G bags, we are buying the ST tube and...

Kenmore Crossover Canister is it worth repairing?

Wait...is the Riccar Sunburst a $180 Bissell Zing? I like the hep bag, the hepa exhaust filter, and the really awesome bare floor nozzle with the removable, washable microfiber stip on the Sunburst, but those aren't worth $125. I think I got ripped off.....grrrrrrr.

Kenmore Crossover Canister is it worth repairing?

@vacuumdevil Thank you for that information. The dealer tossed in a box/package of bags, but I will certainly need more. I have 4 dogs, so they fill up with hair rather quickly.
