    Does Hoover even care?

Hello All, I bought a book that I was told about a number of years back. I had a customer that was a Steadicam Operator and he would kid me about all my old cars and thought I should read the book “Who Moved My Cheese?”. I have yet to read the book while I drive some of those old cars but I do...

eBay: Deluxe Automatic Aqua Model G_polished condition

Hello All, I have rebuilt and or restored to near new between 30 and 50 of the Electrolux G. The G is one machine I really fond of. I once disassembled 7 at once just for the fun of it and proceeded to buff, paint and repair all parts as needed for the sales floor. I would even use bondo on the...

Hoover convertible high performance making a weird noise

Hello, Yes I understand, and to be honest I do not remember how the hood is removed LOL. If it were the Classic Convertible of the 60's & 70's I could tell you in a flash. I know I removed that style of hood many times at the shop. I believe it has 2 phillips/cross screws on the bottom that need...

Hoover convertible high performance making a weird noise

Hello, You might check the carbon brushes as they can cause loss of power and sputtering. Remove them to check their condition and that they are not stuck in place. Good luck, Pete

    Hoover Convertible Junk?

Hello All and Hoover lovers, Looks like someone found a new RS in the box. Drat, there goes my dreams of getting thousands for my poor broken RS. Well maybe I can get thousands for my nice good used one? I heard that. LOL. Now if it were that all illusive GE 111 with a headlight I would be in...

Hi Antoine and All, I understand not having the right tools you could not take it apart. The Compact is looking good without taking it apart and that is what counts. Paint on Compact C9 progress

Hi Antoine and All, I have watched several of your videos on YouTube. I liked seeing the Electrolux APP 200 and you had a lot of good information for all of us. Paint on Compact C9 progress

Hello Compactc9guy and All, I have a question regarding painting the Compacts. I mean no harm but when I rebuilt these Compacts for the used sales floor I would take them completely apart. I knocked out the switch pad pin, the lid lock pin, the rear wheel pins and the lid pin. **Caution must be...

    Hoover Convertible Junk?

Hello All and Phillip, I had no idea the Convertibles were made up to 1992. My other RS is 0192 so it is January 1992. Am I right in thinking the Hoover Convertibles were made from 1957 to 1992? My grandparent built the new home and move into it in 1957 and they retired their Rexair Model B and...

Electrolux Purchase - How Did I do?

Hi Brian and All, That is a great looking Electrolux 1521 Ultralux. I think you got a good price on a really clean machine and I bet it will run like new. I have a Lux G I bought years ago and I just got a Silverado off Craigslist which is no way near as nice as your 1521. I have seen too often...

Minor repair of my Kirby Classic 111. The safty switch.

Hi All, I looked around and found a Kirby 518 and light socket in it is the same as what is on my Kirby 519 so I am thinking it is correct. When I replaced the safety switch on the Omega it totally fell apart so it was a good idea to replace it. Thank you for looking, Pete
