    Eureka Roto Matic

A friend from church was cleaning out her moms home and found this. I cleaned it up and plan on selling it for her. I was amazed at the air flow this machine has. I put on a new cord and switch and she runs like new. When I first fired her up, she was so quiet and had little air flow, check...

    The Jubilee

Looks very nice! Those are great machines and I prefer that style of power head over the L shaped power head.

Miss Tania can spot them miles away!

Rob, I don't know how she does it...but I remember a time we were with a group and went to a home in Chicago where the basement was full of vacuums...I was scared to death..it was a fire trap. The next thing I knew, we could see Tania's feet underneath the stair case...yelling ...I found it...

Miss Tania can spot them miles away!

I had a call on Wednesday from Tania, she spotted a like new Tristar at a pawn shop close to my house. Of course she called and first asked, "if you want it Morgan it is there, if you don't I would love to have it". Friday morning I headed over to inspect the vacuum. She was right, it was...

Electrolux Buys GE's Major Appliance Division

Well hopefully it will improve the quality of the GE products. Both my sister and a co-worker here at the credit union have had to replace all of their GE appliances within 3-5 years of use. My co-worker had to replace the washer after just one year, it broke down several times in that year.

How Do You Feel About "Wide-Track" Nozzles?

I personally don't like them. I live in a smaller home and wide nozzle machines don't fit in spaces I need them to fit. I also have to wonder what it does to air flow, especially newer machines with air flow not directed from the center but rather from the end of the machine. My guess is the...

    Tour and a Kirby

Mark, Kirby can rebuild almost all of their machines and make them look like new. They don't however have parts, bags and trim in original colors any more for some of the early machines. But the main parts of the machines they still can completely rebuild and replace all parts. (not sure...

    Uprights Or Canisters?

For me I like both, but now the house we live in is mainly hardwood with area rugs. So for now, a canister with a power head works the best. It amazes me how so many vacuum companies now claim that their upright is capable of bare floor cleaning and good attachment usage. None of which is...

    Sentria Attachments

It doesn't make any difference, she has the hose, so any of the Generation series would be fine.

Can and should I convert a Kirby tradition bag back to a shake-out one?

Thomas, The Tradition was sold with either the paper bag option or the shake out option. ( think they did that up thru the Heritage Series. Personally, I would keep the paper bag version, much easier to care for and it really doesn't affect the air flow. (unless of course the bag is full)...

    Convention 2014.............Did it really happen?

Reading all of these threads brings a tear to my eyes. It was just a week ago at this time Barb, Michael and I were meeting with the hotel staff to get our room ready for the weekend. As always, it was so much fun, very well organized, lots to see and do, but best part of all was getting...

    Convention 2014.............Did it really happen?

And John you were a good sport! Even if I did try to hide the Hoover logo while we were touring the plant! Those who did not attend missed a great event. Every year they get better!

    Convention 2014.............Did it really happen?

Thanks John, The 2014 VCCC convention was a huge success. There was so much to see an do that I am sure many of us were too tired to post pictures at the time. I know Steve B. has posted many pictures on Facebook and here using a Facebook link. Many of our folks were not heading directly home...
