    New Aerus models

Brian/funeraldirector, How did you get that hose/wand/power nozzle configuration for your Guardian Platinum? I much prefer that style of hose handle than any of the pistol grip styles. Gary

    ET-1 Problems

I got the ET-1 powerhead when I bought my Patriot Hybrid a year ago. I love it. It is quiet, it cleans well and it grooms the carpet very well...much better than my Aerus Guardian Platinum or my brownie Filter Queen. I have also had a Miele Capricorn with the SEB236. It worked well but then...

    My Electrolux AP280

The AP280 was the first brand new vacuum that I ever purchased. I bought it in 1981. I actually went to an Electrolux store (rather than having a sales person come to my apartment) in Toronto wanting to buy a Super J but was told that they did not have any and that the AP280 was the...

    Electrolux Commemorative Edition

I don't understand some Ebay sellers. This lux was initially listed for $1000 and had no bids. Then it was relisted at $800 with no bids, then at $1000 no bids and now at $1250? If you aren't getting bids don't you reduce the price rather than increase it? LOL [this post was last edited...

Tom, Just curious as to why you don't use the Aerus Laundry Pro any more? I remember you being very excited about it. Gary

Best way to vacuum carpeted stairs

I use the electric mini nozzle that came with the Patriot. It is Patriot's version of the Wessel Werk HEB160. I also have the electric mini nozzle for the Guardian Platinum but I find the Wessel Werk is better and also quieter. Gary

How many vintage Canadian Electroluxes are among us?

I don't know how the end comes off the cloth hose (maybe it twists?) but on that vinyl hose the metal sleeve comes off (with a lot of prying) and if I remember correctly the plastic separates into 2 parts to expose the wiring.

How many vintage Canadian Electroluxes are among us?

It is possible with some work :-) I remember seeing a post on here that gave the details on how to do it. I'll have to look in the archives to see if I can find it. Basically the collar where the hose end goes into the connector is removed so that the hose can be separated from the connector...

    Golden Jubilee

Yes SudburyMan we are close! :-) The Electrolux/Aerus dealer is not here any more....closed up shop a few years ago. I think the closest one is now in Barrie. I don't have an ottoman for my '89 but I do have one for my Eureka rotomatic. If you look in my photo album you can see the pages...

How many vintage Canadian Electroluxes are among us?

The original hose came with the '89 when I bought it on Ebay. Although physically it is in great shape, it leaks like a sieve so not practical to use. I bought another original '89 hose that I found on Ebay about 15 years ago. I removed the machine end off that hose. I then bought the vinyl...

How many vintage Canadian Electroluxes are among us?

I've had my '89 for about 17 years. Use it every day for cleaning in front of the litter boxes in the utility room. Gary

    Aerus Guardian Platinum

There were a couple different styles of brush roller for this power nozzle. I also have the same vacuum. I was not happy with the power nozzle as it was as I felt it did not groom the carpet very well. A friend in the vacuum business gave me a different brush roller and it made a big...
