    Electrolux Economy Models

I love the economy models of the Lux machines. Same great quality, built like tanks...just with out all the extras I have a question, did they not use the same motor as the deluxe version. It always seemed like they had the same amount of airflow as their big brothers.

    Sad news

Sorry I missed this thread. Toby was a great guy. We talked a lot when he first joined the club. He will me missed.

Calling for info for Christmas VCCC Newsletter

Newsletter are an extreme amount of work. I was lucky when I was helping because we have a company who would prepare them for mailing so we didn't have to use stamps. It was actually cheaper because they could do postage by exact weight. For me, I don't want paper any more as an effort to...

What cleaning supplies do you use in your home?

Pledge - I dust first with the vacuum and then use Pledge Ammonia - To clean the kitchen. Oven racks are placed in a black plastic bag with a cup ammonia and placed in the sun. After several hours they wipe clean. Bar Keepers Friend - All we can use on our shower and other bathroom...

    Just some thoughts.

I still enjoy visiting this site. Life is busy for most of us. There are several reason I believe why perhaps we don't see the conversations we used to see on here. Many of us are no longer an active part of the VCCC which originally started this site until fighting and bullying forced us...

    Very sad announcement

Michael was a great man. It was so much fun working with him as Vice President of the club. Him and I tour down a Singer Upright he found on the way to a convention. My room was a mess and he wouldn’t leave until we had it all cleaned up. This has to be so hard on his mom.

    Small Appliance Convention

It would be fun! Midwest locations are generally the best for attendance. I only have one vintage appliance other than vacuums. A Sunbeam Radiant Toaster, it is now in storage as a I have new Cuisinart automatic toaster that I really like. I did at one time have a Sunbeam stand mixer but...

    Less Vacuum Ads?

I also like to look at the Ads, but unless you have a Vacuum Dealer or Store most of the box store stuff is junk. If people are looking for an inexpensive vacuum I always refer them to the Bissell bagged it is around 49.00 in most stores here. Otherwise I recommend, Kirby, Aerus or Riccar as...

    My eureka princess.

I don't believe that is the correct hose for that machine. That hose appears to be a hose for the cheaper models. My guess is it is a replacement for the cloth hose that may have came with the machine originally.

    NIB 1999 Hoover Windtunnel Score!

Awesome find, but if I were you I would not use the paper bags but use the style Y fabric bags. (I think that is the right letter) That way you won't get any dust inside the machine.

Political Correctness, maybe not. Style, yes.

Personally, I do believe in Political Correctness and Inclusive Language. However, I do believe times were different when Lady Kenmore was a product name. I enjoy reading old manuals of machines but as I have aged and now realize the importance of Equality the hair on my neck raises when I...
