    Early Christmas present

He stayed up all night to get it fixed. He rebuilt the motor, new cord, new filters, new tools. I know it dosen't look original, but I want to use this vacuum a lot. I love the long cord. I can almost vacuum the whole house without unplugging it. I like the tools. The floor brush is great, it...

    Early Christmas present

He had sent me an email late Wednesday night saying he could not have it ready for Thursday's pick up. When I got my emails, he had sent another at 4.30 am saying he had it ready. Dave, the vacuum guy went all out.

    Early Christmas present

I have been haunting Craig's list and eBay for a teal green Compact. Of all the vacuums I remember, it was Mrs Davidson's Compact that I remember most. She kept it under her laundry tubs. It was the colour and shape that appealed to me. I got to use her Sunbeam upright and her Fiter Queen, but...

    Weekend Vacuum Finds

Were both vacuums in the same store? The Kenmore is my favourite. It looks like it would have been expensive at the time. Guy, any chance of seeing more of your house? It looks like you have some pretty cool stuff. I like the phone way in the back. I was trying to figure out what your furniture...

    Large Vac Collection For Sale

I feel bad for him having to move and give up his collection. If there is a big brown Hoover from the 50s for sale, I would be interested. I feel like such a vulture.

    Christmas in July

Just wondering how old this vacuum is? On the bottom it reads, Hoover Cleaner, 118, patented in Canada. November 11- 1941 September 7 1943 RD. 1948. In a blue stamp it reads, The Hoover Co, June 10-1969 48660 model 118

Lurch, my live in butler loves the new/old Hoover. It is much easier to get around. Oh, he has the drink tray, and by judging by the slant, he has been into the gin.

A big 'Thank You' to John Peirson, on AW.ORG. The Hoover went from Hamilton, to Vancouver and back again, two hours from conception.

    A hoser's hose bonanza...

Dave, where do the stars of the festival stay when they are in Stratford? Are they put up in a hotel or do they rent a house? Just curious. I want to see Kiss Me Kate and Peter Pan.

    Belt question

Do all Kirbys have the same belt? I have one here to put on the Generation 3, just wondering if it will work. All it says on it is Kirby 301282 Upright only.

Thank you, William. The bag came right off. After a bath in Tide and a hang on the line, the bag should smell great.

I bought this just for the box. The toy itself is really cool and still works. I am sure it must have put a few eyes out. The missels really fly.

In the 70's, it was a big night when mom bought us a barrel of Humpty Dumpty chips. Friends of mine kept their Lego in the barrel. I had to have it. It came loaded with ribbon. Very cool stuff. You have to wet it first to stick to packages.

More good stuff. My grandmother had a clock like this, only in green. Too bad a bit of the face got chipped off. It is made in Germany and on the back is written, December 23 1938. I know a jewller that can fix this up, no problem. I had to have the 'Iola Boiland', watermellon pot holders. Love...
