Too far gone? Should have known, It has a brand new empty bag in it. If it still worked it would have been full!

Is this Electrolux too far gone to Save?

A couple of towns over had the paw thru your neighbours trash day. I saw the hose first, then the vacuum, I must admit I was kinda excited till I got it home and took a closer look.

Looks pretty close. Same shape, different pattern on the bag and a few more graphics. This pic came from the Sears fall and winter 1985.

    Today's find

I never knew the fill tube on a Hoover was so big. It looks like a piece of pvc pipe for a drain or a swimming pool.It is almost the size of a Kirby fill tube. I think I will take it to the vacuum shop. It is just way too noisy to use. The fan looks ok, no chunks or cracks in it. Is there...

Today's find All cleaned up.Mr Clean erasers are amazing at removing old scuffs and paint. The belt fits, brushroll turns, smells better and is still REALLY noisey. Do I need to oil something somewhere? Picks up dirt, just might be deaf when your done. Too bad the scratches are so deep. No...

Today's find The brushroll looks pretty new.One problem, the height adjuster dosen't work. You have to grab the back wheels and pull down, then move the leaver.Works fine going back. How hard is that to fix? Will a shot of WD40 work?

    Today's find

Today's find When I first plugged it in, it was really noisey, grindy and made a banging sound. There was a cracked, very stretched out belt and a paperclip twisted around the post. Lots of really fine hair that took half an hour and a steak knife to get out.

I was in Newmarket and stopped in at Value Village. I have stopped going there because they have become so over priced. Something did catch my eye and at $5.99, it was too good of a deal to pass up.

    Kirby Generation 3

In the first picture it looks like rust on the metal. Looking at the cord, it looks like it belonged to a smoker.

The vacuum looks like it is quite a piece away from her, and that huge ring, is that to distract you away from the "man hands"?

    'Lux 1205 ...

The burgandy Lux with white trim What year was it made? My next door neighbour Mrs French had one in the early 70's. I never see pictures of it in the POD, was that a Canandian colour combo? I don't remember hers having a powerhead or the wire running up the hose, maybe she just never used it...
