Excellent work, turned out beautiful! And I can see how it would "blend in" on the bus--unless someone already knew what it was, they would probably think it's a toolbox. Jeff

Brought Home a Regina Music Box

Bill, I started collecting records about the same age, unless you count the "Little Golden Records" or "Peter Pan Records" that my parents bought for me when I was little! Collecting started out with a few here and a few there, but after I started making a little money mowing lawns (and...

Brought Home a Regina Music Box

That is indeed a beautiful machine you have! And I'm wondering if the lady pictured inside the lid is Regina? You're right about the Edison Diamond Disc phonographs, they were pretty much the Cadillac of phonographs of that day! You could only play the Edison records on their machines, but an...

    Straight suction Eureka

Definitely not worth $150 in that condition, especially not running. Not a steal, but not a scam either, he just wants too much for it.

Brought Home a Regina Music Box

So nice of your Mom to pass the Regina music box to you! And yes, it is indeed the same Regina company in Rahway, NJ that made the vacuum cleaners and Elektrik Brooms! They made the music boxes for many years and also made a line of phonographs in the early 1900's, but I don't think their...

    Hello everyone

Thank you! No, that's a 725 in the center with the headlight. They were offered as an option on the 725 but were standard equipment with the 750. As for the bags, the 700, 725, and 425 all have original (to my knowledge) bags, the 541, 450, and 825 have genuine Hoover replacement bags, and the...

    Hello everyone

Welcome aboard! Nice collection you have there! My interest is also vintage machines, and your 700 and model N would be my favorites in your collection. I also have a 700, here's a group pic of 7 of my vintage Hoovers. Left to right are 541, 541 Special, 700, 725, 425, 450, and 875. Jeff

    Electrolux hoses

I might be interested in the blue 1205 hose if you still have it.

Vintage appliance household lover saying hello.

I agree with Paul, the model G Electrolux would be a perfect match color wise, and they're a great all round vac! Powerful and quiet, and when the bag is full it shuts off and pops open. Here's a pic of my G. Jeff

Vintage appliance household lover saying hello.

Other than needing the deep cleaning that you mentioned, it looks pretty good! And if it does everything you need it to do, then you're all set! But I still think you need a nice mid-century tank or canister vacuum cleaner, to keep the dust bunnies under control. Jeff

    Updating the back house

Thank you, Jim! Had a great time even though not all the family was here, but the ones who were here on the 4th were also here for my birthday. Had BBQ pulled pork, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, and of course cake & ice cream. Looking forward to seeing what my last year in the 60's is...
