Novus plastic polish - a Godsend

I'm sure all of you can relate to this. How many times have you found a machine that you have searched high and low for, only to see that the previous owner had not taken decent care of it, and the plastic is dull and scratched? If you have any machines made of plastic, you need to go online and...

    2017 Vacuum convention

I'm having such an amazing time at the Convention. It definitely will NOT be my last one. Everybody is so nice, and there is no bickering whatsoever. Here are some of the machines I've already gotten.

    Estate Sale Adventure!

Zenith Chromacolor II That Zenith television is absolutely exquisite. Looks to be from around 1975. These sets are capable of producing an absolutely stellar picture, $40 for it is a steal. I would definitely have picked it up. I just got a 1982 Zenith at an estate sale yesterday, but it's not...

VACUUM PALOOZA My Entire Collection Must Go!!

    Kirby D50 extreme makeover

I picked this machine up at an estate sale two weeks ago for the nice price of $5. As you can see, it was absolutely filthy and gross. However, underneath all that nastiness, I saw a beautiful Kirby. With very minimal scratches, it didn't appear to need any unobtanium parts, so today, I decided...

    My first Hoover Elite

Picked this up at the flea mall today for only $10, and I even got to test it out on their carpet. I wasn't going to buy it, but I ran it over the carpet just for fun, and I was just blown away by its grooming abilities. I was sold. I want to get it properly cleaned up, but I have no idea how...

$12 for two Kirbys (more Reno)

Great Job! Restoring Kirby G Series machines is one of my favorite past-times. You got those machines looking great. I still really need to find an Ultimate G standard though. I've had three Diamonds, but never standard. Did you hand polish those? Here's my 80th Anniversary G4 that I did last...

    Maytag 1200

Allergies I too suffer from extremely bad allergies, and I'm unable to use a vintage machine, shakeout bag or paper, without sneezing violently. I just bought a pack of Kirby Ultimate HEPA bags, and and the filtration is superior. I don't think I've sneezed a single time while using them. Plus...

Kirby filtration Not sure what's going on with your Diamond Edition to make it have terrible filtration. I own almost every Kirby G model there is, and they have excellent filtration when fitted with cloth HEPA bags. I always wash my bags by hand in cold water and fragrance free laudry soap...

    VCCC Convention

Thanks for the kind words, I'm sure going to miss seeing my vacuum family this year, but at least I'll get to see one of my friends on the 19th and 20th and our micro meet. We're heading up to Memphis on the 20th for the "Vacuum Palooza" though, so that should be fun.

    VCCC Convention

It pains me to say... That unfortunately, I will not be able to attend this year. The thought of not going to the Convention gives me a sick feeling, but it's too far to go, and too much money. I do plan to attend 2018 and future Conventions though, if at all possible. I want to see lots of...

    Simplicity 7 Series info needed

Those are some wonderful machines, Tom. For years, I've been hearing how legendary these machines are, but I've never actively sought one. If I saw one I would have picked it up though. I looked at the new Symmetry/Vibrance machines you mentioned with the two stage motor, and I decided that I...

    Simplicity 7 Series info needed

I looked at those, But I don't really care for the look of them. I prefer the old look of the 7850. I also looked at the Riccar 8925, and I really like that one. How does that compare to the 7850? I've heard they are also bullet proof machines.

    Simplicity 7 Series info needed

Thanks, I was wondering what models had the floor switch. The 7850 looks like the perfect machine for me. Now I need to find one.

    Simplicity 7 Series info needed

I recently decided that I really want a Simplicity 7 Series machine, preferably a 7850. I know the 7850 went out of production at the end of 2013, but I'd like to find out more of the history behind the 7 Series. That is to say past models, their years, colors, features, etc. And how much it...
