Never ever use Pine Sol or any other pine oil based cleaner in the Rainjet or similar cleaners. They will have an adverse reaction with the plastics and damage them. This is directly from the Hoover Floormate book I have.

In my opinion The best vacuum to me is the one that you enjoy and like using. You may have the best vacuum in the world, but what good does it do if it sits in the closet because it is difficult or inconvenient to use? How much dirt is it picking up?

I plan to fix it up. Already ordered new Hepa filter for it, and replacement attachments for the ones missing. May take a while, but I'll get her whipped back into shape.
